"What's got your panties in a bunch?" Ona nudges me. "Nothing" I snap out of my thoughts. "Babes, I have a huge hangover neh! So mpotšte, wetsalang?" She rubs her forehead while groaning. (Tell me, what going on?)

"You have to stop mixing your languages, it's confusing me" I try changing the topic. "Mosadi weh, wetsalang?!" She says on purpose. "Onalerona, I'm fine. I'm just tired, I barley got any sleep last night" I sigh, sitting next to her on the couch. "O-kay ke, well guess who got invited to a birthday bash tonight?!" She sings out.

"Another party? You just got back from a party last night" I frown. "You know what they say 'party until you drop' I haven't dropped yet. Plus, ha ke batle go stressa ka skolo nou. Are you coming or not?" She tips her head back with a small cry. (I don't want to stress about school right now)

"I'm not. I don't like partying and you know that. I have an interview coming up tommorow" I hand her the lemon water, sitting on the coffe table. "A job? Girl you're nineteen, still in school and your family's got all the money you'll ever need. Why o nyaka mosebetsi?" She immediately sits up. (Why do you want a job?)

"I asked Tata to set me up for an interview- Perks of being his daughter, I'm tired of spending his money. I can handle school and work, plus it'll only be part time" I explain. "Iyoh! You can go to work but nna? I'm partying until this vacation ends shem!" She clasps her hands together.

"You've been consuming to much alcohol this week. Maybe I should call Koko and tell her to come fetch you, you're getting out of hand" I tease her. "Don't make me throw you off this couch, you're coming whether you like it or not, it's not up for discussion" She attempts getting up but pauses and holds onto her head.

"Ona. You know I can't handle enclosed spaces" I whine. "It's not that many people and the venue's big. It's gonna be the littest party of the year. Come ooonnnn! Just this once Minnie" She pleads. "Onalero-" She cuts me off. "Come with me or I'll tell your parents about what happened that day" She warns. I may or may have not told her about last week but I kept the part where I met the mysterious guy that let me live.

"You wouldn't" I challange. "I won't but please, who'll drive me when I get too drunk. Wandi won't be there, pretty please." She pouts. "Fine" I lowly mutter. "What?" She perks up. "I'll go but I'm not drinking" I repeat. "We're gonna have so much fun! Come, I know what you're going to wear" She squeals, dragging me up to her room.

Ona and I are kind of cousins, hence why she knows about the family business. Her mom is my aunt, She's my mother's cousin. Her dad's from Limpopo while her mom's from Free State, I think...

"Slow down" I try snatching my arm from her hold but she pushes me into her closet. "Here, try this one one... And this one, this one too... Take this one as well" She keeps on throwing dresses at me. "I think these are enough, I'll go change now" I stop her by running into the bathroom. I decide to pick out a longer dress while she's struggling wih the shoes. I walk out after trying it on.

"Hayi, Hamba uyoshintsha" She says before I can fully step out. "I'm not wearing that, o thomile neng go bolele seZulu wena?" I look at her, amused. (When did you starts speaking isiZulu?) "Eh darling! I'm planning on getting me a Zulu man, I'm preparing in advance" She waves me off. "Now go change, we're not leaving this house with you dressed like a nun, Re ya moketeng sesi" She pushes me back into the bathroom.

I sigh changing into the dress and walking out to meet her. "Now that's the one! Wabona? Now let's go get our hair and nails done, then we'll go to that party." She hypes. "Hair and nails? Since when do you go all out for a party?" I raise an eyebrow as I take off the dress. "I heard there's going to be journalists and what not. I want to see myself trending phela" She giggles.

"Yoh hayi Ona. Koko must fly here fast fast, atle a bona setlogolo sa gage" I place my hands on my waist. "Leave Koko out of this. We have at least six hours before the party starts, areye" She scoffs.

"Six hours?! It'll be late by then, what time will we come back kanti?!" I tilty head to the side, giving her a stern look. "Stop trying to find reasons to get out of this, let's go before we miss our appointment" She dismisses.

"I think that this is a bad idea" I mumble, looking at the large venue filled with people, partying. "Oh come on, there's free booze. Plus it's the birthday of none other than Jo'burg's playboy. We're lucky we even got invited" She beams.

"Seems like you have a crush on him" I nudge her. "Who would'nt have a crush on him? He's Sbonelo for crying out loud!" She squeals. "So we're going to have to stand in line all night cause of your crush on him?" I playfully glare at her.

"Stand in line? Girl... Who do you think I am, We're in VIP darling, I'm ain't standing in line" She holds up two wrist bands. Yoh hayi, this girl. I tightly hold onto her hand as the bouncer lets us in. "Wandi!" She screams over the music, causing me to wince. Wandi, our friend runs up to us. "You guys are late" She hugs us both. "We are?" I frown.

"Yes. You missed the birthday boy's speech! The party literally started without you two" She leads us into the VIP section. "You're joking. I missed it?!" Ona facepalms. "It's not that big of a deal. Right?" tease her. "It's not that big of a- Minnie! I just missed my future husband's speech and you're saying that it's not that big of a deal?!!" She dramatically gasps.

"I'm just joking. I'm sure he'll understand why you're late" I sit down on one of the sofa's placed in the area. "He doesn't even know her" Wandi laughs. "He doesn't know her? I thought they were together or something" I sharply turn to face Ona. "Hehe, Uhm. We are going to be together... Someday" She mutters out the last part.

Wandi and I burst out laughing while we sprawl out on the couches here. The second they see the waiter in sight they start ordering alcohol... A lot of alcohol. I decide to order apple juice and a sushi platter, incase they get hungry.

"Great, now I'm responsible for two drunk teenagers" I mutter under my breath while watching them stumble over their own feet and laugh like maniacs. I suddenly get the urge to pee. Great. I get up, walking out of the area heading down to the allocated bathroom. I enter, going into a stall.

I hear shuffling outside just as I finish peeing. "Haibo Zinzi... That much make up? Yini, Ubonile i-blesser noma...?" A girl from outside laughs. "Mxm. You won't be laughing when I'm in my man's arms" Another girl smacks her lips together. "Your man? Since when, ukhuluma ngobani?" The other one asks, irritated.

"Samkelo, babes. Ukhona, ngimbonile" She giggles causing me to silently wince."Samkelo? As in Sibonelo's brother Samkelo? You stand Zero chances naye, ngiyakutshela" She claps her hands. "Watch and learn, no one can resist me. Not even him, I've never been turned down and I won't start now" The door slams shut and I hear their steps retreating.

I get out, and wash my hands before walking out. I need to get back to those two before they embarass themselves or they'll blame me tommorow morning.
