"I'll come and check up on you tonight, Ona's orders" Rea says from the other side of the phone before hanging up, of course it is.

Ona has been asking Rea to come and check up on me on random parts of the day for the past few weeks. I'm now thirty weeks pregnant and Ona's coming back next week since Koko's getting much better.

I feel and look huge, my feet barley fit into anything other than my uggs. My belly looks like it's about to pop any second, my nose has grown twice it's size and my hands are swollen. Just six more weeks left until my babies are here.

I just got out of class and I'm now soaking myself since my entire body's aching and I felt uncomfortable. I get out, wrapping my towel around my body and making my way towards my closet, getting dressed.

I make my way to the living room, before I can sit down. My phone rings. I pick it up, frowning.

Me:
Hello?

Mama:
Entle, Ke ntatao, o sepetlele

Me:
Mama, what are you talking about?

Mama:
He's unresponsive, his pulse is slowly dropping, Minentle... He's dyi-

I quickly hang up before she can finish that statement, my father is not dying. I slowly sit down, clutching onto my phone, he's not dying. I take shallow breathes in and out before quickly dialling his number and pressing my phone up against my ear as I stand up, pacing around the room.

I bite my pinkie, waiting for him to answer. "Naledi?" He answers, sounding worried. "... S-Samkelo..." I find myself answering. I bite the inside of my cheek. "I-Ahhhhh" I cut myself off with an excruciating scream.

My phone slips from my hold, I clutch onto my abdomen and looks down as blood streams down my thighs. I try reaching for my phone but end up falling to the floor, as black dots fill my vision.

Tears make their way out of my eyes and I hear Samkelo's voice calling me from a distance. I try fighting for my conscience but end up falling limp as my eyes unintentionally shut.

Something feels wrong

Something feels wrong. I get into my office, finding Sima going through my drawers. "Wenzani?" She jumps, slamming the drawer against her fingers. I wince on her behalf, taking a step back. "Hhayi marn Samkelo!" She storms out of the office, holding onto her red fingers.

I sit on my chair, switching on my laptop. I resist the urge to activate the tracker on Naledi's neck, I've been trying not to keep 'tabs' on her and keep my distance from her but I'm close to flying to Western Cape and her calling me weekly does not make my situation any better.

The door is opened and I keep my gaze on my laptop. "Have you gotten anything out of her?" I ask Sbonelo without looking up at him. "No, but she definately knows something" He clears his throat. "Clearly you're doing it wrong, I'll do it myself"

"Woah... Do you remember what happened the last time you took matters into your own hand? I can handle this, if your hurt her Minentle will hate you, we don't need that right now"

"She already hates me, killing her cousin will only ensure that she knows nothing about our business" I state. "You're not killing her... Ntando's on his death bed and he wants to hand over the company to Minentle" He sits down infront of me. "And what does that have to do with me?"

"You can get her to trust you again, somehow and we'll take over his turf-" I cut him off. "I am not using her to get to her father" I point out, closing my laptop. "You've done it once, you can do it again, unless you've caught feelings for her, which I'm sure is not true right?" He chuckles.

"I'm not doing it, find a way around all this but we're not dragging her into it. Unless you want to kill her cousin instead" I shrug, ignoring his question. "Get out" I state and he sighs, standing up and walking out.

I walk to the cabinet on the far left of my office, pulling out a bottle of aged whiskey. I sit back down on my table, going through my shipment documents but my mind lies elsewhere. My personal phone rings, cutting me out of my thoughts. I check the caller ID then the time, she's early today.

"Naledi?" I answer sounding worried. I expect her not to say anything as usual but this time, she shocks me and replies "S-Samkelo" I dryly swallow, pushing my paperwork to the side.

"I-Ahhhhh-" She screams in pain, That's the last thing I hear before a loud thud. "Naledi!" I call out, the line goes dead. I stand up from my chair and grab my laptop and car keys, making my way out of the office. "Samkelo uyaphi?" Sima questions.

I ignore her and get into my car, driving to the private air strip. I try calling her again but it goes straight to voicemail. I decide to call Rea instead.

Rea:
What do you wa-

Me:
I need you to go and check up on Naledi, now.

Rea:
Samkelo, you can't be ordering me around. I'm at work. I'm not your personal messager.

Me:
I pay you, don't I? Don't piss me off, go check up on her, now.

Rea:
S-

I hang up before she can protest. I increase my speed, trying to push the bad thoughts out off my mind. She's fine, I know she is. I park my car outside the jet and I see the team still refueling and maintaining the jet. You've got to be kidding me. I groan, trying to control my anger. I pull out my phone, calling Rea once again.

Me:
Is she okay?

Rea:
Uhm... I'm still driving there, I'll call you when I'm done.

She quickly hangs up. I toss my phone away, rubbing my temple. She's lying and I'm going to get to the bottom of this.
