<IMP Headquarters>
"YOU'RE WHAT?!"
Blitzø was both surprised and disappointed in the hellhound but was still wrapping his head around the information that she gave him.
"I'm... moving out? I am an adult, I can do whatever the fuck I want!"
There was a brief pause. Surprisingly, Blitzø didn't say anything, none of his "but I adopted you" stuff, he just stayed silent. Tears streaming down his cheeks.
"Okay."
Loona made a face, her heart dropped, as she scampered for a response.
"Hey, I'm not leaving your life, I'm just moving into a new... apartment."
"Where is it?"
"Not telling you."
"Damnit Loona!" Blitzo's little glimmer of hope to keep tabs on her forever were shattered.
"This is why I'm leaving! Plus that broom closet you live in does not fit both of us. You need space." Loona paused, "we both do."
"I-" Blitzø thought about what he'd say next, "You won't leave me, will you?"
"No. I'm not quitting. I'm not leaving this life, just living elsewhere. I need more time to myself."
Blitzø went silent, tears no longer shed. He made a ball with his hands and was slightly shaking. But he ultimately nodded to tell her, "it's ok". Loona smiled and nodded back.
"I'm sorry."
Loona cocked an eyebrow at her adopted father, "for...?"
"Following you. Everywhere. I just don't want you to get hurt. I can't let it happen."
"I know. It's sorta sweet. That ya fuckin care. But, I can handle myself! You know I can, Dad."
That last word melted Blitzo's heart. He smiled and teared up, sprinting towards Loona.
"Don't push it." Loona replied quickly, pushing Blitzø away from a hug. "See ya tomorrow."
"We're not there yet. Okay! I'll get that fuckin hug- oh she's gone." Blitzø frowned as he finished his sentence.
<Hazbin Hotel>
Humming along to the noise coming from an old fashion radio Alastor had magically conjured, Husk was doing his daily routine of cleaning glasses. Rather happy today to be free of Angel Dust's constant flirting, in fact he hadn't seen him in a while. The only one he actually saw was Charlie at her desk. Not that he minded. He actually enjoyed silence, it was a good change of pace from his old life on Earth, filled with exploding shit that kept him up at night. The music was a nice reminder of his better years. The old cracked sidewalks he walked down that were made that way not by force, just by a terrible upkeep by the government. A simpler existence.
Lost in thought, the bartender didn't notice the patron sitting at the bar. The hellhound. His face warmed up as he shook with shock and nervousness. Which he thought was odd, because it's been a while since he was nervous.
"Same thing as last time?" Husk asked, hesitant to not make him sound like an asshole.
"Yup."
Again, the only words that were exchanged were those 6 for a while. Husk turning up the radio for Loona, who eyed it with curiosity. A visual cue that she wanted to hear more. It was an old 40's song Husk didn't know the name of, just something that had vintage flair Alastor would cream over. Then, Husk turned to Loona, they were now both seated at the bar, drinking their drinks slowly.
"Why're ya here?"
The hellhound seemed shocked when Husk spoke, her cheeks flushed as she wasn't prepared to answer the question put in from of her.
"What?" She asked as if Husk wasn't sitting right next to her.
"Cmon. Every person is here for a reason, in the hotel I mean, don't give me some dumb literal philosophical shit."
Loona took a drink of beer as she contemplated the fact that she had to answer, after a long pause, she finally got the words.
"I needed to get away."
"You do understand what this hotel is, right?"
"No. I just assumed it was a dumbass dive bar typa hotel. Why?"
Husk sighed and walked back to the wall of drinks, grabbing another booze bottle.
"Charlie!" He called out.
The slender Princess of Hell sprinted over as her name was called, which freaked out Loona.
"What-"
"Yes! That's me what do you need Husky?"
"One. Don't call me that. Two. Remind this lovely lady what your mission is here."
Loona was hanging on Husk's every word, enthralled by his tone. And of course the whole "lovely lady" line. Ironically she forgot what the entire reasoning for him raising his voice was.
"Oh- uh. We are here to raise sinners! Well.. uh.. I see you're a hellhound, a hellborn. Oh dear. Well, this is unfortunate."
"You just figured that out Charlie?" Husk asked sarcastically.
"I- I was excited about the new patron okay? I don't see you stopping her from drinking!" Charlie defended.
Loona was silent as the two argued. She now remembered this place from the commercials. It wasn't a normal hotel. Her mind worked until she got an idea.
"I could work for you!" Loona then mentally freaked out as she blurted the words out.
"Oh! Hmm." Charlie hummed in confusion, and then went into thought. 'What the heck could she do for us?'
Husk raised an eyebrow at Loona's sudden change in tone, from a confident voice to a freaked out and confused one.
"Yo. Charlie, why don't ya just think it over with Vaggie? I mean she's smart or whatever."
"Right! Thanks Husk!!" Charlie beamed as she walked out of the room.
Loona muttered something Husk didn't pick up. He didn't push further.
"I take it you don't actually want to work here." Husk stated.
"Mhm."
"Well. I have a question for ya."
Loona's heart was going crazy, could she actually have to juggle 2 jobs, or quit one. And leave Blitzø behind. Or just leave. She couldn't leave.
"Yeah?"
"There's a million bars in hell."
Husk didn't even finish his point. He didn't need to. Loona knew exactly what he was gonna ask. She didn't like the answers she got in her head, one's too embarrassing to admit. She just went silent.
"I'll get Charlie to let you decide what you want to do. Y'know. I like havin ya around. Wouldn't mind an extra hand. But. Think it over. Kay?"
"Yeah. Thanks."
"Never got your name, by the way."
"Oh, it's Loona."
"Husk."
They shared a smile and drank in sync.
