Sam and Bucky sat in the church as a preacher delivered an Eulogy.
"Now a few words from Steve Rogers granddaughter Kira."
Sam's eyes widened slightly, hearing that while Bucky watched the brunette woman walk towards the stage.
The woman sighed, looking at the note card in front of her, then at the people in the crowded church.
"Steve Rogers was known as Captain America to the whole world. He fought many battles and helped save the world but also Avenged it after the catastrophe that was Thanos and the Blip." She looked at the picture of Steve, her voice catching and eyes watering slightly. "To me, he was Papa. The man who basically raised me and taught me right from wrong. He would be at all my recitals, help me with homework." She laughed softly. "Even had tea parties with me."
Kira shook her head softly. "He used to say to me 'Kira we don't run from bullies because they will never stop.' Every day, he showed me what it takes to be a hero."
Bucky watched as tears slipped down her cheeks.
"I'm gonna miss you, Papa." She touched the casket then whispered softly. "Take care of Nana for me."
