I Hate My Powers

New employee in the coffee shop, you don't mind if I mess with him right?

"Another day for me to annoy people, mainly strangers that I meet on the streets," Tommy had said as he had woken up from the alarm next to him, gotten out of bed, and put on his raccoon slippers. He walked out of his room into the kitchen making some cereal for breakfast. After eating he went into his room again and to the drawer to get some clothes so he could go out. Once done, he went to style his hair a bit but didn't do much since his hair would get ruined by the harsh wind outside. He brushed his teeth in the bathroom looking at himself in the mirror thinking about how the day would play out today and left with his jacket on him and phone in his pocket.

Tommy locked the door behind him and headed out to the crowded street trying to get through since there were too many people there, he was heading over to his favorite coffee shop wanting to taste their new spring drink. After finally getting through the crowd he opened the door to the coffee shop and went inside seeing that there was a new employee he decided to mess with. Messing with the new workers here is fun but not when your favorite worker there scolds you for some minutes, honestly it's embarrassing. I decided to hang out in the shop until it had to close. I also hung out with the new worker whose name was Purpled, a weird name I know but I'm sure we'll get along just fine. Then a villain attack happened near the shop, how great it was that we had to leave before we got caught up in the mess hoping the shop wouldn't get destroyed, but of course I got stuck while trying to help a child get out.

Well this sucks, all the smoke is hurting my lungs and I can barely even see anything and there is a moving leg under a pillar, wait....Oh god! I need to help them just in case they do make it out of here alive and maybe if they are rich I might get some off them, wait no Tommy stop thinking about money and help. He moved over, crawling over to them, calling out to them saying that he would try and help them, and it turns out that the person who was stuck under the pillar was an injured hero called Norebo which is funny because he and the god's name both gamble. Now I have to try and find an exit. I'll probably get popular on social media for helping a hero, just think about the money I could get.

Finding an exit was easy the only problem was the fire that was kinda blocking the way so I decided to run and try to jump over the fire with the hero on my back, he was a bit heavy but thankfully he woke up and could walk a bit, he was shocked at first but he dealt with it. By the time we got out two heroes were trying to look for Norebo while fighting off the villain, Norebo yelled out for one of them which Zurvan how ironic some of them are named after gods.

Zurvan came over running to us after seeing Norebo also signaling to their other partner seeing that the villain had been knocked out, everyone who was evacuating was already gone. Zurvan was thanking me for helping Norebo stumbling out of my hands and going towards Zurvan who was helping him, then the villain woke up since the hero somehow forgot to tie his hands so he shot a lightning bolt from his palms and I pushed the others away from the lightning bolt coming straight for us. Even though I didn't want to use this power since I didn't want to be taken away from the government I used it anyway just to save myself from getting electrocuted; I concentrated on the air around me trying to make them connect making it a bit thick so the bolt wouldn't affect me as much also having the air turn solid having a gray-white color to it.

Zurvan ran to the villain knocking him out but this time tying him up and also putting something on his wrist, probably a power stopper or something, I took the chance to run seeing that two of the other heroes were distracted. Okay maybe that wasn't a good idea to run from the heroes but I was in a panic situation also I knew they would try to question me about how I wasn't caught by the government already and would most likely bring me to them, I heard them running towards me so I tried to turn into the alleyway that was close to me but I guess I wasn't fast enough since I did get tackled down and I'm pretty sure my nose is bleeding because of the impact. This is why I hate getting involved with people's business even if I had nothing to do with it, well unless I get something valuable from it like money and jewels.
