Two weeks has passed, and things were finally settling in. The funeral for their grandfather was held a week ago in the early morning. It was a small, private ceremony with just you, Yuji, and Sukuna standing next to the grave, paying your last respects and supporting them in their time of mourning. You decided to take a few more days off work to help Yuji settle in before returning to your routine.

You continue to stay at Sukuna's place, helping Yuji move his things into Sukuna's spare bedroom. It took a whole week to go through boxes and unpack some of the essentials and clearing away old clutter to get the space habitable. You had even developed a routine to maintain at his place. Cooking, laundry, cleaning, and whatnot to help out. To Sukuna's surprise, his apartment was immaculate and smelled amazing every morning, thanks to your efforts.
Sukuna's behavior had shifted. Though the tension lingered, he made an effort to ease it. Yuji's presence helped, providing a buffer. Sukuna's flirting had softened, but his lingering glances and casual touches still made it hard to resist him.
There were moments when Sukuna caught you off guard—little kisses and snuggles when you were alone. He respected your boundaries, mostly. His slow, careful approach didn't go unnoticed, and it was clear he was trying. Despite the temptation, you held firm, determined to look past the physical attraction.
Conversations revealed a changed Sukuna. Each day, he found comfort in your support, your acceptance. He seemed genuinely grateful to have someone who cared for him without ulterior motives. Having you around again brought a sense of peace he hadn't felt in a long time.
The sizzle of dinner on the stove mixed with the distant shouts and cheers from the living room where Yuji and Sukuna were immersed in a heated game of 2k.
"Come on! Pass the damn ball already," Sukuna's voice boomed from the living room.
"Bad pass," Yuji shot back, his tone dripping with amusement.
"No shit, Sherlock. I know that." Sukuna's annoyance was palpable.
"Calm down, dude. It's only the first quarter."
"Whatever," Sukuna muttered.
Yuji's laughter filled the room, "Sukuna, if this were a real game, your team would have lost already."
"Fuck off."
Their playful bickering continued, punctuated by cheers and groans.
The doorbell rang, interrupting the kitchen's rhythm. "I'll get it," you called out, making your way to the entrance.
Opening the door, you found a teenage boy in a delivery uniform, holding a bouquet of red, pink, and white roses. "Flower delivery," he said, thrusting the bouquet toward you before dashing off.
Perplexed, you closed the door and carried the flowers to the kitchen counter. The bouquet was a stunning arrangement, bursting with color. Tucked under a silk ribbon was a small, white envelope. With a mix of curiosity and surprise, you opened the envelope and read the card inside, a soft gasp escaping your lips.
"Sukuna!" you called, hoping he will notice, and maybe your boys could stop their nonsense bickering.
"Yea," he shouted back.
"Did you send these flowers" you asked, a little baffled and uncertain.
"Yup," came the immediate response. He gave no further details nor context.
"Um.." you pause, surprised. "Thank you!"
A strange wave of emotions hits you, and your cheeks suddenly heat up with embarrassment. The kind gesture sends a surge of affection through you, leaving you a blushing and stuttering mess, uncertain of what to do.
