The following morning, as sunlight gently filtered through the curtains, you found yourself engulfed in the fluffiest blanket you had ever felt.

Snapping up, a momentary panic set in—you distinctly remembered falling asleep on the couch last night. Sukuna must have carried me here, you thought, blushing. Is this his bedroom or just a guest room. Your eyes scanned around the room, and you took in your surroundings.
You noticed it was decorated rather beautifully— the decor was simplistic with muted tones that made it easy on the eyes, and you noticed the room had a variety of gaming equipment, ranging from different consoles and a wall-sized television screen. Trophies and jerseys hung proudly in various parts of the room. On a bookshelf several photos and everything looked expensive. This is definitely his room, you concluded, noticing the subtle elements that could only belong to the grumpy, egoistical man you grew up with.

Feeling your cheeks get a bit warm, you dug your face deep into the blanket. "Oh my god," you exclaimed, remembering what happened last night and trying to comprehend everything that's  happened so far. The way he's been treating you had better than you hoped for, causing a blush appeared on your cheeks and your lips formed into a smile.

You rolled over to your right, onto the fluffy pillows, and sighed.  However, your thoughts were abruptly interrupted as the scent of burning filled the room, and black smoke spiraled through the door. Immediately you rushed out of the bedroom and made your way toward the kitchen to find Yuji furiously fanning a smoky skillet with a towel. "Shit shit shit!" you hear him mutter under his breath as he desperately tried to save his breakfast.

You sighed to yourself in relief that the fire alarm wasn't going off, "Aww fuck, Yuji."

Yuji jumped at your sudden appearance, "Bunny, um.. heeeey" He stuttered, giving you a lopsided smile as he struggled to come up with words. You sighed again, and walked over to his side, inspecting the state of his breakfast.

"Honey, honey, this is not how you cook an egg and sausage!" You sighed and told him.

"What happened?" You inquired, grabbing a towel to assist him. Yuji chuckled nervously, "I was making sausage and eggs for breakfast, and the sausage started burning for some reason," he admitted. A sigh escaped my lips as you muttered, "Why are you like this?" You gently removed the smoking skillet, dumping its contents in the trash and sliding the window open to ventilate the remaining smoke.

"It's not my fault that his stove is weird. It heated up really fast, and the sausages just burned out of nowhere. I didn't even use that much heat."
Rolling your eyes, a small smile of amusement crept onto your face.

While tidying up the kitchen, curiosity got the better of you. "Hey, where's Sukuna?" you asked.
"Well," Yuji replied, rubbing the back of his neck," he received a call earlier and hurried out. Something about team obligations or whatever. Then he's going to go train at the gym or the courts,"

"Oh, okay makes sense," you said, your tone betraying a hint of disappointment. Yuji's knowing smirk appeared. "Need him for something?" he teased.  "No, just curious," you quickly deflected, attempting to change the subject, cheeks flushing pink, and made a shooing motion.

"Now get out ,while I'll remake breakfast."

After breakfast, you spent the rest of the morning with Yuji. The two of you engaged in a few rounds of video games and chatted about life. You were relieved to see that he had returned to his normal self.

After finishing another round of the game, it was already late in the afternoon , Yuji's phone buzzed, indicating an incoming text message. Glancing over, you caught the screen name "Kugisaki with a heart emoji" pop up on the lock screen, confirming your suspicions. His hand rushed to hit the lock button, attempting to hide the screen. You smirked at his panicked expression. "Dude, she's gonna find out soon enough. What's the big deal? Besides, aren't you guys best friends?" You raised an eyebrow, prodding for answers.
