The exam

Arrived to school to hear the news of Valerie and her friends death at a sleepover event, all thoughts came from the count himself, what to do now, his own daughter and another both died at his watch and four injured. Alot had to say about that. At least it's on another family now. Should give me some time to think about my next step to revenge. Julie sat next to me and looked at my face.

Julie " You scare me when you make that face "
Me " now Why is that"
Julie " Nevermind, heard that father already placed Jean under the knights program "
Me " That is good, better for him to be in it then us."
Julie " Yeah, I proposed so"

I looked at Julie as she looked around. Class began, and the professor told us all about the exam that was happening. In order for us to receive our ranks in the academy, we needed to take a mini exam, a survival course. I remembered taking this, it was difficult for Julie to pass since she was afraid of the dark and tight spaces, but if what I remember if we take a certain route we can make it to the finish line in less than 2 hours. Just need Julie to trust me. I lay my head down as she looked at me. Julie sighed and walked out of the classroom. I kept looking down from her legs and then outside.

Julie ( This isn't how I picture our life to be a second time Mika...)

Suddenly, two girls from the other nobles came to Julie. They looked mad, and Julie looked at them.

Julie " um Yes may i help you?"
" don't get too comfortable with your situation. Just because your a knights daughter doesnt mean shit."
" Our parents worked there ass off to get where they were, and we aren't letting some family alter with that."

They then pushed Julie to the side and walked away. Julie just looked at them and smiled, I just for the exam, we will see who is at the top. Later that day, Lucus, Noelle came over to our house. Noelle was outside with Jean and lucus while me and Julie were outside sitting on the benches. Watching the boys train.

Julie " So what is the plan?"
Me " To make it out alive, the last time we did this, you almost died, and I had to save you."
Julie " well that is Not very nice"
Me " This exam is monitored but not fully. They just see who comes out alive. As long as we are together, I believe we should be fine."
Julie " How you know?"
Me " We already know our abilities, remember?"
Julie "oh Right"
Me " The plan is to go to the long path, last time we took the short path and it nearly killed us."
Julie " Mhmmm"
Me " Dont be stupid about this, got it?"
Julie " noted"

The next day, the bell rang, and everyone began to enter. We waited until everyone else went into the maze, and then we entered. Noelle, Lucus and Jean both watched as we entered, and Lucus began to smile.

Lucus " This is exciting "
Noelle " What's exciting, this determines who's strong and dead."
Lucus " And new potential "
Noelle " Jean, were you really okay with your sisters going in"
Jean " I mean, I know my sisters are capable to do anything, but wondering you were okay when Eliane said she'll do it. Aren't you supposed to be the fiance who says no"
Noelle " Same mindset as you"
Jean " mhmm, interesting "

Lucus felt the heat between both of them.

Lucus " Umm I am going to go over here now"

Lucus walked away and they continued to look at the door.
