Once school was over, Gwen got ready to hang out with joshua. Cassie was doing Gwen's hair and make up.
"How are you feeling?" Cassie asked her.
"I'm scared. What if he doesnt wanna be my friend in the end and he thinks I'm a weirdo a-"Gwen starts to worry.
"It's ok gwenny. It's all gonna be ok, "Cassie said, trying to comfort her friend and prevent her from having a panic attack.
"But what if doesnt like me" was the last thing gwen said before the doorbell went
"Well looks like you have to go message me later about it"
"Of course see you later '' Gwen replied nervously. Before she was really excited but now she could only think about all the things that could go wrong.
After Gwen left, Cassie sat on her bed to think about everything. She knew there was something upsetting Gwen, not just being nervous to hang out with a boy. Maybe it could be school work? She didn't want to ask her because she knows Gwen doesn't like to talk about her feelings, which she understands but at the same time wants to ask her so she is there for her friend. She shouldn't have to go through anything alone.
