-Pure Tears- Rafe Cameron

This chapter is really just a filler so please don't stoop reading, next chapter is pretty intense and I'm really proud of it so continue reading and I think you'll be happily surprised!

Maddie looked into the corridor that connects the kitchen and living room with the hallway.

The door opened and there stood her dad, he had been out on business for almost two months at this point.
Markus hadn't told his daughter that he was getting home today or anytime soon so when Maddie stood there and looked at him she was at loss of words.

- wow not even a Welcome home? Her dad laughed

- why didn't you tell me you were getting home today? We could have picked you up from your flight? Maddie asked

- If I told you it wouldn't have been a surprise now would it? And who are we? 'Markus asked implying on her use of words'

Rafe walked out into the corridor and greeted Markus.

- How are you Mr. Spencer? Rafe asked
-Oh Rafe I'm amazing and I've told you to call me Markus

Maddie's dad was holding a smirk inside, almost everyone on the island that weren't close with the families thought that Maddie and Rafe was or had dated but Markus had been sure since they were little kids that someday the two would end up together. So seeing them together in the morning making breakfast was something that made him surprisingly happy except from the typical protective dad part that wanted to protect his precious daughter from everything.

- Do you want any help moving your stuff to your room? Rafe asked him
- Oh I'm fine I think I've got everything, thank you though Rafe

Maddie's dad walked upon the stair to his room and the two went into the kitchen to finish eating their breakfast.

(Markus was aware about Rafe's emotions and how he was bad at controlling them, he also knew about the anger issues the poor boy had but even though all this information Markus was sett on that The only one that would actually be good for his daughter was the Cameron boy. He also knew that the only one who would be able to help Rafe make it through out life without getting in serious trouble or worse was his lovely daughter.
Rafe was not know for taking care of girl in the best way but Markus knew that he would never hurt Maddie with purpose, cause he could see how the Boy looked at Maddie even if they didn't know it themselves)

Later that evening Rafe and Maddie were on the beach just outside Maddie's house, they had been outside the whole day swinging in the ocean and just sitting in the warm sand and talking about life.
Maddie knew that Rafe was hoping to take over his father's part of the business one day, but since Ward is a literal a-hole Maddie wasn't so sure that he would leave it after to his son. It made her hurt knowing that Rafe's father would never fully accept his son and that her own father had taken more care of him this whole time than Ward had.

Herself on the other side as cliche as it sounds was kind of already working as a model. It wasn't something big and not something she was sure she'll continue doing forever but since she didn't really need to get a job at the moment it was mostly to get out there and have some fun. She isn't well know for it and it wasn't a big deal.
Apart from that Maddie didn't do much, she usually helped out on the island as much as possible when she could but she'd never ask for anything in return.
Earlier this summer she had helped out as a server at Heyward's Seafood alongside Pope who was the son of the owner. They got along pretty good and she could see that he was one of the chill Pouges.
As we know she didn't have anything against them but Maddie had to admit that they weren't the kindest against her since the whole Rafe being her best friend thing, she didn't appreciate the way they talked about Rafe and her other friends when she worked there but had to remember that Maddie's kook friends talked the same way about the Pouges in return.

When the sky started to darken and the the two could see the stars shining they decided to head inside to make some dinner.
They walked in through the glass doors laughing and almost falling over each other. Maddie held onto Rafes shoulder and his hands were around her waist tho hold her onto her feat.

- And then when you spit you beer out all over her dress because she took her panties off right in front of everyone on the dance floor to try flirting with you!
'Maddie was dying of laughter as they talked about embarrassing stories'

- And she had a white dress on to so it was all see through, I almost felt bad for her.
'Rafe said now laying Maddie down onto the big White couch as she had almost stumbled over the carpet.

- But you know what was even worse?! That guy who was trying to flirt with you at Toppers birthday party last year, when he was asking for your number I walked up behind you and he got so scared he walked backwards and fell into the pool.
Rafe laughed as he remembered standing behind you and giving the guy an "I'll kill you" look.

After Maddie had calmed down and could stand straight again she noticed that her dad was sitting at kitchen counter looking at the two confused

- Are you two high or something. Should I be worried?

- No don't worry dad we were just talking about some memories, Maddie giggled

- I made some dinner earlier since you two were outside, it's in the fridge if you want some.

- Thank you Mr. Spencer. 'Rafe said

- No problem kids. Well I'm going up to my office to make some calls and get a couple of things straightened out, goodnight you two.

And with that, just like yesterday it was only Maddie and Rafe left in the living room.

- I should probably go home, it's been almost two days and Ward is probably gonna call and yell soon so..
- You know I don't like how he treats you and the way it's all pretend when I'm there.
- I know M but I have no other choices..

Maddie followed him to the door and watched him drive away into the dark night home to a house that only contained hatred.

She then walked up to her room and laid down in her bed. The bed sheets smelled like Rafe and she couldn't help but to think...

Take your guesses, I really appreciate the feedback I've been getting this far and I hope it continues. I know this was a pretty boring chapter but I have so much coming and it is all worth it I promise <3
