Maddie woke up earlier than usual that morning, she could hear screaming down stairs and she recognized the voices, it was her dad and Ward Cameron they were in the kitchen shouting at each other.
She quickly threw on a shirt and a pair of pajama shorts and ran down stairs, as she walked into the kitchen she could see the two grown men only inches apart shouting and her father looking more upset then she had ever seen him before. Maddie had done her share of bad and stupid things but she had never seen her father this angry, upset and she thought almost disappointed.
She was stood there looking at them for only maybe five seconds before she heard something that made her blood run cold.

- HE DIDN'T DESERVE ANY OF THIS WARD!! HE'S JUST A KID, HE'S YOUR KID!!!!

No no no, pls don't say they're talking about who she think they are

-RAFE IS NOT MY FUCKING SON!!

Maddie heard his name and she couldn't stand there being quiet a second more

- What has happened to Rafe?! What the fuck have you done to him!!?

Maddie almost shouted pointing at Ward as she walked into the kitchen standing between the two men.

- Maddie you shouldn't be here right now, get out. Ward lowered his voice

- NO! I'm not a child, I'm a god damn grown up and I swear to god if you've done something to Rafe I'll personally take care of you. She said almost whispering and pointing only inches from him

- She's right Ward, go ahead and tell her what you've done

She looked back at her dad and the returned her gaze to Ward, the veins in his forehead looking like they're gonna pop out any second.

- If you don't tell her I will..
'Markus said and when Ward still was quiet Maddie turned to her father looking desperate for answers.

- Dad please, what is happening?

- After Rafe got home yesterday they started arguing about how Ward thinks Rafe is irresponsible and how he hangs out with you to much.. Apparently he must have said something more cause Rafe had started arguing back and this idiot HIT him. When Rafe didn't leave he did it again and then threw him out of the house for good.

Maddie stood there almost feeling sick and her knees getting weak.
'Markus continued'

- Rafe had ran out of the house and not returned obviously, so when Ward came here to try talking with him but didn't find Rafe here he blamed you for making himself seem like a bad father..

Maddie had tears in her eyes both out of sadness but mostly anger, Anger like she had never dealt before. She slowly turned towards Ward who was stood there maybe now realizing how stupid he actually was, but that was far to late.

- I knew you were stupid and a bad father.. but I didn't know you were a fucking moron, do you have any god damn idea of what you have done? How much you have ruined?

Ward stood there almost looking scared at how much anger Maddie had in her eyes

- I'm not just talking about your relationship with your own son who looked up to you, no I'm talking about for yourself and your family.. I'm going to drag you into the ground I will Rodin your name so bad that no one will ever fucking want to even think about it again. No one will even stand looking at you.

Maddie spat out looking into the mans eyes, with so much rage that existing inside her right now she was sure that Ward realized that she really meant every single word of what she said.
