Nolan's mind was spiralling out of control. How his life shifted from being calm and predictable to being so complicated in a span of hardly a month. How he shifted from being content with living a life of solitude to being stuck between a boy and a girl. A girl who was now lacing her fingers with his and lying her head on his shoulder, with the said boy sitting across from them. Mainly, Sebastian was addressing Elijah who was hardly focusing on the strings of words the king was uttering. Nolan could feel the glare that was being directed at him every now and then, but by all means he tried to avoid eye contact with Elijah.

"Judging by the development of things it may appear that the kingdom of Akazenya is going through a prolonged disagreement with the king and prince of Mancilla. The princess may prolong her stay her by a few weeks. Will queen Rose be okay with you staying for a few more weeks? Roughly two to three weeks," said Sebastian concerned, for the matter in Akazenya was seemingly a none ending dispute.

"The queen has assured me that everything in Shillian is still in order. Besides my father is there to assist," replied Elijah, finally focusing on Sebastian.

"Do you not miss your land?" The king inquired.

"I've lived in Shillian all my life. A few weeks away is nothing but a vacation," he said with all seriousness that it made Sebastian laugh.

Sebastian nodded, getting up, prepared to retreat to his office.

"Perhaps when you leave you may take Lanse with you. He needs a vacation," he said, already heading towards his study, he knew better than to expect an answer from Elijah.

And indeed it did not come. Because Elijah immediately stood after him, and left the living room.

He is unsure as to how long he was in his room, deliberating on whether to go back to Shillian or stay in Larmont. The truth is, he was only willing to prolong his stay in Larmont for the prince's sake, but if the said prince had his interest else where, what was the use for Elijah to stay on this foreign land any longer.

He was still deep in his thoughts when a knock came. Soft and tender as the prince's own. But unlike usual, the door did not open immediately as it usually does, making Elijah frown as he sat up.

"Come in!"

The door opened and a timid looking Nolan walked in, wringing his fingers in front of him and nibbling his bottom lip, his eyes darting everywhere but Elijah.

"I assume your lover has finally gone home," he said with a bit of bitterness.

Nolan's eyes widen, finally looking at Elijah. Then he settled for a sigh his shoulders slumping.

"You must understand, Eli, this is hard for me. All this is so new. I want to please you but at the same time...." He sighed looking away. "...I don't know," he added.

Elijah stood up and walked around his bed.

"You want to know how to please me?"

Nolan remained silent, debating the question in his head. On one hand he did not really want to know how to please Elijah per say, however, he wanted to at least have a peaceful relationship with him.

"There are a few rules in order for us to work," Elijah continued when the prince remained silent. "The first and biggest rule is, I never share Nolan. What is mine is mine and noone can touch it unless I grant permission," he said sternly.

Nolan gulped, deliberating that in his head too.

"But she is my friend," he finally said.

"And friends keep a good distance," he argued.
