Chapter 7: Welcome Your Cotton Candy Y/n

The Next Day:

"Heigh-ho!" Grandpa Sullivan leads a fancy carriage with you, your brother, and Opera on board. You curiously ask, "Where did you get this, Grandpa?" It's the first time you've seen such a carriage. "It was finally delivered... This is a special carriage just for taking my precious grandchildren to and from school. Fo! Go, go, go! Iruma-kun and y/n-chan are on their way to school! Hahahaha!" he cheerfully says as he continues leading the carriage.

Iruma adjusts his clothes. "We're already on our way to school..." he mumbles to himself. Sullivan asks, "Iruma-kun, y/n-chan, how does the ride feel so far?" Iruma responds, "Oh, i-it's great! It's fantastic." Meanwhile, you're getting comforted by Opera. It's your first time riding a carriage, and it's giving you motion sickness. "Awwie, Opera, my head is spinning!" you whine while Opera tries to calm you down. "Hang in there, y/n-sama, just a couple more minutes," Opera says, patting your head as you lay your head down on his lap, eventually falling asleep.

Iruma's eyes land on his golden ring. "This... Right now, it's got plenty of Y/n's magic in it, so it'll be okay, right?" He glances at you sleeping on Opera's lap. "Please don't let it get hungry and go crazy again," he mutters to himself. He overhears the incoming students singing the school anthem and catches a short conversation between two male students. "I wonder if humans taste good," the first student says. The other responds in disbelief, "What? You still believe in humans?" The first one argues, "What? They totally exist!"

"We're going to live out of sight. We can't stand out, no matter what!" Iruma thinks fearfully. You're still sleeping on Opera's lap when the carriage comes to a stop in front of the school gate. Iruma tries to wake you up, but you groggily say, "Give me 6 more minutes, my head still hurts, Opera." So, Iruma carries you while Opera rolls out a red carpet. "Iruma and y/n-sama have arrived!" he announces, not too loudly to avoid waking you up. Opera then presents Iruma with the carpet, still carrying you in his arms. "Right this way, Iruma-sama."

"Hey, Iruma-sama! Lady y/n!" Alice excitedly calls as he rushes towards you and Iruma. "Good morning!" His eyes widen when he sees you peacefully sleeping in Opera's arms. Confused and worried, he turns to Iruma, asking, "Umm, Iruma-sama, is my lady alright? She's not sick, right?"

"Good morning, Azz-kun! Sorry we couldn't come with you today. Don't worry about Y/n; she's just tired from the ride. She gets motion sickness, so she's resting before class starts. Let's leave her with Opera for now," Iruma reassures Alice, explaining your current situation.

"Oh, alright, if you say so, Iruma-sama. But talking about your entrance, it was a splendid way to come to school!" Alice praises, admiration sparkling in his eyes. Before he can finish, a rolled-up carpet hits him, and out pops Clara. "Kaboom! Morning, Iruma-kins! Where is y/n-kins? I wanna play with her now!" Clara says excitedly, oblivious to the chaos she's causing. "What are you doing, fool? And also, Lady y/n is sleeping. Don't be so loud," scolds Alice, attempting to handle the situation. However, Clara bounces back, hitting Alice again in the process.

While they continue their antics, Opera hands your sleeping form to Sullivan, who hands Iruma his bags. "Iruma-kun, here are your bags," Sullivan says with a smile. Despite the genuine gesture, some students talk behind Iruma's back, commenting on how he's making the chair-demon carry his bags while she makes him carry her.

Sullivan then surprises everyone by pulling out "Hellphones" from his pocket. "I bought two, but I'll give y/n-chan hers later. I bought it so you can call me! I'm finally converting to a cellphone!" he exclaims, patting your head gently as you snooze on his shoulder. "I still have no idea how to use it, but you can call me anytime, Iruma-kun. Oh?" Sullivan notices Iruma has disappeared, scanning the surroundings. "Iruma-kun? Where are you?" he asks, unaware that Iruma took the chance to slip away. "I don't want to stand out anymore," Iruma whispers to himself, seeking a bit of anonymity.
