I lay on the rock with Noak as we talk about our days. It's been 3 months since the sullys left and we just feel empty. We watch as eclipse falls.. me and Neteyam used to do this.
"This girl.. Ma'rik.. she's really pretty. I love her personality and she's very nice. But it's not like Tuk. I just miss Tuk." He says almost in tears.
"I know Noak.. I miss the sullys too but we must not let that ruin our lives. Tell me more what Ma'rik?~" I tease him, hitting his arm with my elbow.
"Well she held my hand for a few seconds. Her brother is your age! You should meet him. I feel like you need someone as well." He says.
"I think all of us should hang out!" I say trying to not think about the sullys once more. I bet they're in a happy place with nothing to worry about.
"Come on! Me and Ma'rik was going to hang out." He says pulling my arm towards the village.
We walk in the village as I see a very pretty girl beside a tall boy.. must be Ma'rik and her brother. I see what Noak sees in her.
Just then Noak stopped me.
"I made you this.. to match the necklace Neteyam gave you." He says handing me a bracelet with pink and blue beads.
"Thank you, Noak." I say rubbing his head. Trying not to tear once more.
"Ma'rik!!" He yells and hugs the girl. Me and the boy laugh at them til we make eye contact.
I see you.
I do the hand motion as he returns the gesture.
"Ralu this is Layto. Layto this is my sister Ralu." Noak introduces us.
"Nice to meet you" Layto says.
"You too." I say.
"Is your mom Ninat?" He asks.
I was stunned by the question.. how does he know?
"I am so sorry for that question, you are very beautiful just like her.. you have her eyes." He says looking into my eyes.
"Thank you.." I say.
"I'm Tarsems son. The Olo'eyktan.. yeah much people don't know it but I trust you." He says.
I can't seem to trust much people right now.
Time skip a bit
Me and Layto have been hanging out for a month now. He's kept my mind off of the sullys and helped me with my problems. I feel like I like him but I'm not quite sure.
I see Norm leave with Max and their equipment.
"Where are they going?" I ask.
"I don't know.." Layto says. He holds my hand as he can tell I'm anxious.
I look at the drone take off, watching it disappear over the trees. It's been a few hours since they left and I get worried.
"Do you think they're okay?" I ask Lay..
"I'm sure they're fine. Come we have patrolling to do anyways you can look for them then." He says grabbing my hand and taking me to our ikrans. We meet up with the other warriors as they wait for us.
"Sorry we got caught up." Lay says.
"Doing what? Making out?" One warrior comments and the others laugh. I blush at the comment.
"Hahah very funny. We're just friends. Come on let's go" Lay says and we take off after him and Tarsem.
We fly around when dark starts to hit Pandora. The bioluminescence trees and plants always amaze me. With their beautiful colors and light up with ever step I take.
It always seems to take my breath away. I always love to play with the animals.
Lay looks at me with awe as I fly around looking everywhere at the plants and for norm and max. Just then we hear a big bang and look back at the camp.. it's been attacked.
We each look at eachother when we fly back. This can't be happening not now. Not like this I can't lose other people. The village is on fire. Everything is burning slowly.
I land and look around. No one is to be seen. All the other warriors either flee or burnt along with others. I looked for my brother when I feel a hand.
"NOAK!" I yell hugging him.
"I want to get out of here." He says.
"Where's Ma'rik? Lay??" I ask.
"I don't know." He says crying.
"Let's get out of here." I start running when I get to my ikran, I hear a yell. Noak is stuck under a branch. I run back trying to help him when I check his pulse.. he's no longer alive.
"No no no... NOAK." I look around eagerly for any sign of someone else. When I see no one I try to get Noak out but it's no use, I have to leave him.
I hop on my ikran crying. I need to find somewhere else.. anywhere. I fly over a cliff to see just oceans. Oceans and rocks all around. I don't know where I'm going.
The ocean is dark and rough as a storm hits. I soon get tired. The rain hits me in the face.. waking me up. Soon after an hour the rain stops. The ocean lightens up to a teal color and I see land.
A metkayina clan. Maybe they'll let me stay..
