"Megan, I like you," I blurt out, closing my eyes and scrunching my nose in nervousness.

"What?" she responds, clearly taken aback.

"Megan, I—" I begin, but Ginny interrupts with a playful face, causing me to throw a pillow at her. "Ginny, stop! This is serious!"

"I don't know how to tell her. I don't even know if she likes girls," I confess, feeling overwhelmed.

"Just ask her," Ginny suggests, amused by my panic.

"Yeah, easy for you to say. You haven't asked Harry Potter out, and you've liked him since when?" I retort, rolling my eyes.

Ginny rolls her eyes back and joins me on the corner of my bed. "Hermione, calm down. It's not the end of the world. Plus, you two have been spending more time together thanks to Umbridge's stupid rule."

I sigh and flop backwards, staring at the ceiling. "Okay, but what do I do?"

"Maybe you could take her to Hogsmeade today," Ginny suggests.

I shoot up from my bed, excitement coursing through me, and rush over to Ginny, enveloping her in a hug. "Great idea!! Ginny, you're brilliant!" I exclaim.

With newfound energy, I dart to my closet, quickly donning a coat and pulling on my boots. Glancing at myself in the mirror, I adjust my hair before stepping out of my dormitory.

As I make my way through the corridors towards the Ravenclaw common room, I fervently pray that Megan will say yes to the Hogsmeade trip. Along the way, I notice her walking with. DRACO MALFOY!? Why have they been so close lately!? I approach Megan and her companion, who both stop talking and stare at me as I draw nearer. "Hey, um, Megan, do you want to go to Hogsmeade with me?" I ask, smiling awkwardly.

Draco nudges Megan's side, and she turns to him before looking back at me with a smile. "Yes!" she exclaims, wrapping me in a hug. "Just let me grab my coat from my dorm. You can come with me." She grabs my hand, and we speed walk to her common room.

Entering the Ravenclaw common room, we find Anthony and Terry sitting on the couch. "Oh, hey boys," I greet them politely.

"I'm going to Hogsmeade with Hermione, so no time to talk," Megan informs them hurriedly as she rushes upstairs, pulling me along. She closes the door with more force than necessary.

I giggle to myself and settle onto her bed, swinging my feet. Megan's roommate enters the room, eyeing me curiously before turning her gaze to Megan.

"Umm, who's this?" she inquires.

"Oh, that's Hermione," Megan replies casually as she rummages through her closet.

"Ah, Hermione Granger, huh?" the roommate remarks with a smirk, directing her attention to me. "Aren't you the girl that Meg—"

"Alright, Selena, that's enough!" Megan interjects, grabbing Selena's arm and pulling her close. Selena gives her a strange look as Megan guides her towards the closet. "Sorry about her," Megan apologizes with a laugh as she retrieves her coat and begins to put it on.

"So, are we ready?" I ask, rising to my feet.

She hums in agreement, turning to me with the biggest smile on her face. She looks absolutely stunning when she smiles, her dimples forming so beautifully. Ok Hermione stop it, you're probably staring too much! Before I could react, she glanced at me, tilting her head slightly and flashing a smile. Is she looking at my eyes!? Aahhh! She is! Ok Hermione get it together and don't look aw-. I couldn't help it; my cheeks flushed with heat and turned a shade of red. Glancing to the side, I tried to conceal my smile. After a few moments of us simply standing there, she reached out and took my hand once more, guiding me out of her room. Well she loves holding hands. As we exited the castle and made our way to Hogsmeade, the atmosphere between us felt a bit awkward, though on the bright side, she still held my hand.
