I save myself by biting

The rope was roughly 10 inches, it was quite shorter than I expected. I attached the rope with the crowbar, so it forms a type of grappling hook. While taking quick glances at the backside, I held the grappling hook in my hand and spun the hook on the dominant side. The hook spun towards the wall on the upswing.

I aimed for the upper edge of the wall and release the hook in a swift; the crowbar flew towards the mantle and landed on the other side. It was definitely my luck that it worked!

My happiness soon faded when I heard a snarl nearby. I put down my rope and peeked through the bricks. A huge shadow roamed around until its fuming red eyes met mine green ones. The monster growled and hurdled at me; I leaped backward and landed on my stomach. It  roared and grabbed my shirt. First it was the jacket now the shirt? No! I tried struggling to keep up but it was difficult.

I hunted for the dagger but then I realized, I left it with rope. Stupid me. Stupid me. The Omnibus lifted me up and demonstrated that even when I wriggle I could be eaten alive. The brown fur covered its body; the small ears stood straight, the position any animal does when it wants to charge. The monster stood on its hind legs and roared before tearing my backpack.

"NO!" I screamed. "Wha-do you-WANT FROM ME?"

I writhed in its grasp and caught old of its furry arm. "This is for the backpack!"

I bit its limb and harsh as I could, making the Omnibus drop me straight on the floor. I rolled on the concrete floor sooner than I could bust left side of my face. The monster growled spraying the spit again. I could have fought it but I had to break out of here. I sprinted towards the rope and pulled it before ascending. The Omnibus, of-course followed me and pulled the rope towards the ground.

"Stop it!" I yelled again. "You can never beat, Ethan! You can never beat me!"

The rope gave me tremors, I stumbled but my grip was solid. Years of training not wasted at all. I started to mount again, ignoring the shakes but then I heard a loud CLANK! My eyes widened. The crowbar was becoming loose.

I glanced beneath me, the Omnibus was really far than I predicted. I bounded on the upper edge of the tumbling bricks and leaped out of the cave of demise. The monster barked below me as I stuck out a tongue and jumped onto the dead grass.

After climbing with a crowbar and escaping an outrageous animal, who wouldn't be starving? I was fully aware that whatever I had collected from the building had fallen while I was running. My stomach made a dying whale sound as I looked for food. Trees weren't such a good idea because most of them are burned and cut down.

I wasn't bothered by my hunger or my sleep. I was bothered about the talking Omnibus or was it one? I touched the circles underneath my eyes and scars on my face and knees. After surviving for a long time here, blemishes, sunburns and wounds were normal to me. I headed for the nearest tree and plopped myself against the bark.

"You escaped huh? Very good."

I nearly jumped out of my skin when heard a familiar voice. I instantly got on my feet and  turned around to face it.

"Yes! But-But- Why did you leave me?" I stammered.

"What? What did I hear? My ears are bleeding!" It fakes a cough and collapses on the ground.

"What do you mean?"

"What's your name, kiddo?"

"Ethan Levi."

The creature folded its arms and stood against the tree trunk. "You are a silly boy."

It signaled for me to follow her, I blinked my eyes in confusion but got on my heels. The creature seemed to take me somewhere far, my legs were used to sauntering for a long distance but looking at it made me feel as if it was extremely tired.

"Hey? Are you tired?" I smiled. "I have nova aqua."

I passed out the plastic water bottle to her but it slapped my hand away as if I was offering a knife. I scrunched up my nose and picked up the bottle which was fallen on the muddy ground. Half of the water spilled on the sand.

"I am not drained! And what the heck is nova aqua? It as known is water!" It said.

Water? Another new word I suppose.
