It's been 5 months already ever since Winnie moved back into the town,Augustine could have sworn those were the best 5 months of his life.
The two had a bond that was even stronger than it have ever been,they were inseparable,just like when they were kids.
But moving on,it was finally December,and what did that mean?it was Christmas!aha,well,almost,it was still Christmas's eve.
The two boys were at Augustine's house,they wanted to do a sleepover so that they would wake up in the same house at Christmas,since they didn't believe in santa anymore(of course) so Winnie got his gifts and got them under Augustine's christmas tree,so that they would open everything together the next day.
When they had sleepovers as kids,maybe from age 3-10 or 11,they would sleep in the same bed,but that was in the past,then they stopped doing it because "it was gay" so the other would just sleep on the floor or the guests's room.
And so,they spent the 24th of December together.
They have known each other for so much time that their mothers see the other one as a second son.

One day later,it was Christmas!
Augustine got up and rushed to the guest room to Winnie and woke him up,when he did,also Winnie was thrilled like when they were kids,even at their age...
They went downstairs to the christmas tree and opened their few gifts,and when they finished,Winnie handed to Augustine a gift that wasn't under the tree,it looks like Winnie was hiding it in the guest room or something...
The first thing that he could notice was many holes in it,he wondered why but he lowkey just shrugged and opened it,and found...

Augustine:"A KITTEN!!!!" he said happily,jumping into Winnie's arms,hugging him
Winnie:"aww im glad you like your gift Auggie!! I know how you love cats and that you wanted one for so long,so i talked about it with your mother and we agreed to get you one on christmas!"
Augustine:"wait- YOU TWO BOTH AGREED ON THAT?" he said,looking at the two nodding and smiling at him.
Augustine started crying happy tears and hugged Winnie tighter and buried his head into his chest,he felt like a kid again,this is the first time he was so happy during christmas,there was all he could ask.
