chapter 16

we are on the bus on the way to the airport and i've just realised tomorrow is the day my signing gets announced so by the time we wake up it will be out so i guess just got to avoid questions until we get to the hotel. easy ?

anyway once we arrive at the airport we got through security quite quickly i had to check in all off ava's things and mine so i took a bit longer but we got through eventually we're now just sitting at the gate waiting for our flight ava has gone back to sleep so she's just in the carrier between me and ava.

i'm just scrolling when i sense someone sitting down next to me and feel i hand go behind me resting on the top of my seat. so of course i look up to see katie and just collapse into her "you okay gorgeous?" she whispers into my hair "mmm just tired don't exactly get much sleep because off her  and i'm sorry that you probably won't get much either" i muttered not looking up at her slightly embarrassed that she has to share a room with me and a baby. "don't worry love i don't care that she may get us up in the night i'm more than happy to help" she states calmly. I don't know what it is about this that just made my heart swell,
yeah i have help off the girls at villa plus my mum and sarah but i've never really had this before ,it's new . Making eye contact with her "means a lot" smiling "anything gorgeous" katie one again causing blood to rush into me cheeks  "your cute when you blush" she chuckles. "come on lovebirds we're off" Niamh Peacock  pipes up receiving death glares from me and katie.

The flight went better than expected and ava didn't cry for to long. Even though the england squad were the only ones on the flight i still felt really bad and did my best to settle her for the duration of flight until we made it to the hotel and i could feed her properly and put her down to sleep before going to sleep myself.

It's now the next day and we all crashed as soon as we got to australia.Once again the girls are in mine and katie's room as they have decided it will be best for ava is our room is the designated place for us to chill. my signing will be announced soon, and to say i'm nervous would be an understatement, as it's about 6 or 7 pm in spain but it's 8 am the next day australia i don't know how time zone a work really. Im just sat on the bed on my phone whilst talking to the girls not having to worry about ava as Katie had insisted on holding her. i was talking to holly when i get a text, obviously i pick up my phone to see it's mapi

hi tatum just reminding you that your signing is about to be announced me alexia and ingrid will probably call you when it's out if that's okay?

Hi mapi yeah i know im so nervous and i can't wait to talk to you !

I put my phone away noticing it hit 8:30. this is it. My biggest secret for the last 3 months will be out. I feel my phone vibrate and look at my phone

we are delighted to announce the signing of aston villa forward Tatum daly. The young start has dominated the WSL and international play and we can wait to see what she does next !

and just like that it was out and all i had to do was wait  for someone to notice or for mapi to call me

just as i exspected within 5 minutes of it being announced i got a call it so since nobody had realised yet i decided to put it on loud speaker

mapi : "HI ITS FINNALLY OUT IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU INGRID AND ALEXIA ARE HERE AND I THINK  OLGA IS ON HER WAY"
ofc mapi is shouting that's typical i can hear the other having a conversation in the background of the call and i look to up see the puzzled faces of my england teammates
tatum : "thank you so much mapi i can't wait to see you all when i get back to spain"
ingrid : "sorry it took me so long mapi won't let me get a word in congratulations on your signing love from all off us"
alexia : " as ingrid and mapi said congrats and we can't wait to see you again kid but learn a bit more spainish okay ?"
Mapi : "well we will let you get back to your team have a great night of celebrating"
tatum : " thank you you lot see you all soon"

we say our goodbyes and i end the call looking up to see my teammates still very confused some have realised and some are still as confused as before. so it's kind of an awkward silence until ria spoke up "TATUM HAVE YOU SIGNED FOR BARELONA AND WAS THAT JUST ALEXA PUTELLAS MAPI LEON AND INGRID ENGEN CALLING YOU" shouting
at the top off her lungs "yes and yes" i say as confidently as possible "as in alexia putellas ballon d'or alexia putellas?" ria asked stunned "yeah when i went to sign the contract in barcelona mapi and alexia gave me their numbers because off living arrangements." this caused shouting screaming celebrations until it died down "wait living arrangements are you LIVING with mapi?" alexia potter axed "um yes im living with mapi and ingrid" this caused the girls to irrupt again apart from one. katie looked at me smiled said congratulations and went back to cradling my daughter in her arms getting her trying to wake her up so i could feed her. god i think i'm falling for this girl.
