WHAT COULD HAPPEN

Caleb takes a deep breath, "Mrs. Stevenson, it's not your fault."

Madeline is crying, "Yes it is! MY son took YOUR son."

She looks at Jacob, "I should've listened to you, Jacob... I should've put him away a long time ago! I never suspected he would go this far."

Jacob sighs, "Look, guys, in all honesty... We don't know for sure if Cameron actually took Sarah and Reginald."

Caleb's eyes widened, "Are you kidding? My wife and son go missing, the information still isn't public, and your brother calls me, asking if I'm with you, and then has a baby crying? It's fucking Sarah and Reggie."

Jacob sighs, "Yeah, I know. It most likely is."

Madeline puts her hand over her mouth, "Oh god, this is all my fault!"
Caleb shakes his head, "Madeline, I told you... No matter what has happened or will happen, I don't regret Jacob at all. I never will."

Madeline sighs, "So what are you boys gonna do?"

Caleb does his own sigh, "I think Jacob and I, JUST me and him, need to go to Alaska."

Jacob shakes his head, "I have a really bad feeling about this. So, Cameron takes your wife and son, then just calls us and tells us he did it? Why would he do that?"

"You have a better idea?" Caleb asks.

"Yeah, call the police," Jacob says.

Madeline nods, "I agree."

Caleb shakes his head, "Why do you think criminals love to live in the middle of nowhere? So they can hear the police coming if they find them."

"Yeah, but where is he gonna run?" Jacob points out.

Caleb sighs, "This is my wife and son, Jacob. I can't take any risks."
"Caleb," Jacob sighs, "If we do this, just me and you go, the biggest thing we're risking is YOUR life. I'm scared that's what this whole thing is about."

Madeline continues to cry, "Oh god... Oh god, what have I done?!"

Caleb reaches forward and hugs Madeline, "It's ok, auntie. It's ok."

"I can't have anything happen to you because of my son! But it already has! Oh god, if I just put Cameron away years ago like Cameron told me, your wife and baby boy would be ok!" Madeline weeps.

Caleb rubs her back, "It's ok. Even if you're right... We can't live in the past. All we can do is get Sarah and Reggie back."

Caleb lets go of her, and says, "I guess me and you better grab some coats... Cause we're going to Alaska."

Jacob sighs, "I'm just gonna be honest... I've never understood why some people would CHOOSE to live in a place like Alaska, where it's all snowy and cold every single day."

Caleb shrugs, "I hate the snow and cold too, but just because we hate it doesn't mean some people don't love it."

Jacob chuckles, "Sure."

Jacob takes a deep breath, "Ok... Sounds like we're going to Alaska."

Caleb takes out his phone, "I'm gonna hook up a rental car for both here and Alaska and look for flights. First we're gonna go to a store and see if there's any winter-"

"Caleb," Madeline speaks up.

Caleb looks up, "Yeah?"

"When was the last time you slept for an extensive period of time?" She brings up.
