THE BEACH
The flight is in two hours.
Caleb and Jacob decide to head to a McDonalds, as well as buy baby food for Reginald that thankfully is at the airport.
Caleb and Jacob sit inside the McDonalds.
They're both quiet.
Caleb still has a look of pure sadness on his face.
Jacob takes a deep breath, "Caleb... I just want you to know something... I'll be here for you. I know about... the elephant in the room... But I'll help you get through this. In any way that I can."
Caleb looks at Jacob and nods, "I don't even... I don't even begin to know how to heal from something like this. I feel like I just DIED, Jacob."
Jacob nods, "I know..."
Caleb takes a deep breath, "Is this what it felt like for you? When I told you... That I didn't wanna be with you like that?"
Jacob sighs, "That's not important right now, Caleb."
Caleb nods, "When we get back to California... Me and you will talk about it. Ok? I promise."
Jacob nods back, "What are you gonna do now?"
Caleb sighs, "Well, Sarah and I will have to officially file for divorce. I'm gonna have to tell everyone. My family, my friends... All of 'em. Thank GOD she let me keep Reginald. Keeping custody of him shouldn't be difficult. I just... I just have to put her in the past... It's just..."
Tears swell up in Caleb's face again.
"I loved her so much! I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her!"
Caleb starts to cry again, putting his hands in his face.
Jacob grabs his shoulder, "Caleb... I got you. You know I do. I got you."

Jacob and Caleb hop on the plane. With Caleb paying for first class, they have nice, spacious seats. Thankfully, Reginald is quiet the whole time, and thankfully the flight is a bit shorter.
When they land, it's the middle of the afternoon in bright, sunny California, the sun shining in through the windows.
Caleb smiles, "It is SO good to see that after being in fucking Alaska."
Jacob looks at Caleb, "It's good to see you, smile, Caleb."
Caleb nods, "I'm gonna have to try, aren't I?"
As the plane lands and they start to grab their bags, two teen girls approach them.
"Excuse me, are you Caleb McLaughlin?!" One of them goes.
Jacob goes up, "Ladies, not a good time."
Caleb shakes his head, "No, no, it's fine. Yeah, I am."
The two teen girls act all excited, "Oh my god, I LOVE you in Stranger Things! That show is so LIT!"
Jacob chuckles,
Fangirls. Gotta love em.
Caleb takes a selfie with them. Caleb definitely puts on his best happy face, having to act like nothing's wrong.
"Oh my god, Brittany is gonna be SO jealous!" One of the girl's goes as they walk off.
Jacob sighs, "Sorry you had to do that with-"
