Level 5: Malebolge Heights, Malebranche Municipal Park
> BEGIN
"—so, um, sorry about my Dad. He can be a little...overprotective...sometimes."
You glance down at the siren at your side, the distant sound of [hell crickets] echoing in the distance.
Though it's night, between the [hell lamps] beside you and the twin [hell moons] above, you can still make out a hint of the same embarrassment in the siren's face from earlier—albeit somewhat more subdued now that you've been walking for half an hour.
Aside from yourselves and the crickets, the park around you appears to be empty, the [spike walls] and [death slides] of the nearby [hell playground] casting silent shadows off the sides of the path.

"Ehem."
The siren lets out a small cough beside you, crossing her arms in front of her as she rubs her hands up and down her shoulders. You can see her breath rising up in faint clouds as she exhales into the cool night air, her [hell autumn] coat a bit light for this late in the season.
Her eyes searching the scene around you, you can see her gaze come to rest on the empty [hell swings] at the far end of the playground, hesitance in her expression as she seems to mull something over.
After a few moments, she coughs again, nodding awkwardly in the swings' direction.
"Do you want to, um, sit for a bit?"

After a few moments of familiar silence, you can see the siren let out a small sigh, shaking her head as she starts forward.
"Come on, you."
Watching as she steps off the path, you follow her lead, tagging along behind her as she turns to take a seat in one of the open swings. As you stop in front of her, you can see her nod toward the open seat at her side, rolling her eyes when you don't respond.
"You can sit down, you know. It's not like you have to wait for me to tell you."
A few moments pass as you hold the siren's gaze. Eventually, you turn your head to the seat beside her, slowly looking it up and down from behind your visor.

Turning around, you lower yourself onto the thin belt of [hell plastic], the joints in your leg armor creaking with the movement. You can see the chain links on either side of you straighten and go taught, the bar at the top of the swingset groaning and buckling slightly as you relax the full weight of your armored bulk into your seat.
After a few moments, the groaning slowly fades, the piece of playground equipment reaching a strained semblance of equilibrium despite being several hundred pounds over capacity.
Beside you, you can see the siren raise an eyebrow, glancing between you and the deformed support bar above. You can see her open her mouth as if to say something, before shaking her head and letting out another sigh.
