Never in a million years did Annaliese think that she would be a Naval fighter pilot. Sure, she wanted to be one.. but she never thought it would happen. She was fortunate enough to follow her dreams without her mother's approval, and then ended up in Top Gun. The Naval base that she grew up around, her father being a pilot and later instructor there himself.

Many hours spent roaming through the hangar with her brother, and later just boyfriends. Tom had figured out at about 12 that your sister being your best friend wasn't exactly "cool."  Annaliese never thought that was fair.

The noise of a car horn is heard outside of Allan's door. "Get a move on Chip!" Annaliese called out to her RIO in a slightly-angered tone. "We can't be late for this! It's important."

Allan is notorious for being late wherever he goes. That couldn't happen today.

The only think crossing Anna's mind was seeing her brother at this meeting. What was he going to say to her? Chip sat in the passenger seat glancing at Anna every once in a while. "You alright FireCracker?"

"Not necessarily.." the brunette replied still focused on the road. "Your brother is just going to be happy to see you, I promise!" Anna frowned, "He isn't the same really.."

"Well, time to see him." Chip added as they pulled the car into the parking lot. Grabbing bags and walking towards the building. They walked through the main doors and then up the few-flights of stairs. "Gee, who knew it was this hard!" Chip panted. "Almost there you're fine."

The duo made it into the room full with a bunch of other pilots, only men, including her brother. They walked in and grabbed a seat a row behind diagonally from Iceman. "Sister, sister. What a surprise." The blonde rang to his twin as she kept a straight face. "Who's your boyfriend?" He said as the other pilots began to stare at her and whisper things like, "Iceman has a sister?" and "Why is a woman a pilot at Top Gun?" It's nothing she hasn't heard before.

" For your information Tom this happens to be my RIO, Chip. Chip, Tom, Tom, Chip." She introduced them. "I can introduce myself.. well it's nice to meet you Chip, it must be a living-hell having to deal with my sister."

"You too, but not really.." Chip spoke back.

That crappy conversation had come to a halt when Commander Metcalf known as "Viper" walled into the room of bustling pilots and RIOs.  "Gentlemen.. " he started. Anna quietly cleared her throat to catch his attention. "And miss."

"You are the top one percent of all naval aviators, the elite.. best if the best. We'll make you better." Anna raised her eyebrow. "You'll fly at least two combat missions a day, ten classes in between, and evaluations of your performance."

Anna went into a daze when a handsome pilot looked back at her and she smiled. She couldn't comprehend would Viper was saying and she was just thunking of how gorgeous he was. He looked over towards Iceman and he glared at the man, in the midst of twirling a golden-brown pen in-between his fingers.

"We don't make policy here gentlemen.. and miss." Viper said eyeing Anna as he used the word "Miss" "And although we are not at war, we must always act as if we are." With that Anna smiled cockily as she loved to be fast and harsh with her flying, her brother not so much, right on time and perfect.

Anna heard a mutter from the brunette about somebody being the best. As though Metcalf had read his mind he said, "In case some of you wonder who the best is.. they're up here on this plaque. The best pilot and his RIO from each class gets their name up here.. and they have the option to come back here to become Top Gun instructors."

Anna glanced at her brother with a smirk while both being exited to blow these boys minds and thinking of their dad who was a instructor. "You think your name's gonna be on that plaque?" Viper questioned the brunette man. "Yes sir." He answered firmly.

Iceman and Slider grinned cockily as Slider winked at Anna as she almost got sick. "That's pretty arrogant considering the company yourself in." Metcalf said. The brunette slightly nodded while looking down at the tile-floor. "Yes sir."

"I like that in a pilot."

Not long after they were all dismissed. Chip and Firecracker got up from the leather seats. She looked at her brother and mouthed "You'll  be dealt with soon enough Buster."

He rolled his crystal-blues and looked back at the brunette pilot and what she assumed was his RIO. "The uh.. plaque for the alternates is down in the ladies room." He said while grinning and looking back at the pair. The mans RIO busy out laughing, and Chip and Firecracker bother let out a snicker, followed by a sneer from her.

"Oh Jesus.. oh you kill me." The guy said whipping his eyes with a smile. Iceman looked up at his twin and grinned as he got up.

Chip and Firecracker walked out to the var together while watching the F-14s fly in-front of the pretty sky. "Ready to kick some ass Chip?" The woman said grinning. "That's pretty arrogant considering the company you're in." Chip replied mimicking Commander Metcalf. "I like that in a pilot."

"Games on Ice." The girl whispered while watching the moving planes.
