After a tiring day of working at the office, you were packing up your belongings to head on home. That is until one of your coworkers announced that they were all going out to eat and having a few drinks. You groan to yourself, you forget that every once in a while they do get together to hang out for a bit. All you wanted to do was take off your work pants and blouse toss that god forsaken bra thats been stabbing you all day, and get into your comfy attire. Then again, you haven't gone the last two times, simply because you wanted to go home and not do anything for the rest of the day. This time you debate with yourself and make a decision to go anyway. You might as well treat yourself to a drink or two. You deserve it after a hectic week.

From the corner of your eye, you see Peter strahm your recently suprising work friend bothering someone else. Mark Hoffman. He was in the middle of packing up as your coworker spoke to him.

"Hoffman"! Are you coming out tonight? Join us!" he says excitedly.

Hoffman looks at him with drowsy eyes. He didn't seem to be in the mood.

"I don't know. I'd rather go home and rest tonight-"

"Please" ? We miss having you there. Come onnn! The whole gang is not complete if you aren't there. Even L has missed the last two times and she is going tonight. Now all we need is you!" he begs.

You raise a brow when you hear your name mentioned. Hoffman's eyes flash towards you when Peter says your name. You meet his gaze and you give him a gentle smile while shaking your head. You give him a shrug as if to say, "Join. It won't hurt." Both of you arent neccisarly "friends". But he has helped you many times with your work and vice versa. He was always very kind towards You have only hung out with him within a group setting and never alone. You've always wanted to get closer to him though, he's an interesting person. An interesting person you trust. At leat you think...

Hoffman sighs and gives you a knowing look. You giggle to yourself and motion your head to indicate to go with them. He runs his hand through his hair and looks at your coworker.

"Fine. I'll go." he sighs. Your coworker lets out an excited, 'Yes!' and skips happily towards the door. Hoffman grabs his bag and waltzes over to you. "We could just not go, you know. I can tell you'd rather be anywhere else but there." He adjusts collar and rolls his broad shoulders back.

"Yeah, I know, but a drink doesn't sound too bad. I'll even buy you one for your inconvenience." You shrug and grab your jacket as you two make your way out of the office into the elevator.

Well, that's too bad. I'm going to, anyway. It looks like you could use one. My treat." you offer him.

He lets out a defeated sigh and watches the numbers count down as the elevator descends to the first floor. As soon as it reaches its destination, you two step out and make your way outside towards your cars in the parking lot.

"Okay. I'll take your offer, but next time, it's on me." He steers his eyes towards you and you nod your head. You'll take free drinks anytime it is offered. You two went the same way since he parked next to you on your left. You make your way to the driver's side and unlock your door. Before you could enter your car, you hear Hoffman call your name and you turn your head around to look at him.

I'll drive you there," he says. You look up at him and look at his car. It was a beautiful, Black luxury car. It definitely suits him.

"Mark", you don't have to-"

"That's too bad, I'm going to drive you anyway." There was a hint of amusement in his tone. Much like how you said earlier when you offered to buy him a drink. "It's the least I could do since you are buying me that drink."
