With dirty feet, the little girl runs around the house, leaving tiny footprints on the floors. She climbs the couch and jumps, giggling as she bounces higher and higher. She doesn't know that she is messing up the beige couch with her muddy feet. She doesn't even know she has muddy feet but she jumps. She jumps and laughs on her own.

Once she's satisfied, she runs around the house again, knocking a few things over like lamps and other little decorations left on the table. She's having too much fun that she didn't notice. In the kitchen, she spots her favorite brown teddy bear and hugs it against her chest. She sits on the floor and pats her bear's head.

As she was playing with her bear, she heard footsteps. Turning to face the door, she sees a young boy. Throwing the bear she once had in her hands away, she makes grabby hands for the boy to carry her. Smiling, he carries and pokes her nose to which she giggles.

“Look at the mess you've made, bub. Come on, let's get you cleaned up,” the boy says. The little girl claps her hands and points towards the stairs. “Let's gwo.”

The boy carries the little girl to the bathroom upstairs. Placing her down, the boy fills the bathtub with warm water, adds her favorite strawberry scented shower gel then gets her undressed. He picks up her toys that were placed in a basket at a corner in the bathroom and throws them in the water. He lifts the little girl up and places her in the water.

The boy begins scrubbing her tiny body as the girl plays with her toys. She smiles then grabs her rubber duck and pops the bubbles resulting in splashes of water. The boy laughs. “You really do love making a mess, huh?”

The girl turns her head and looks at the boy with sparkling eyes. She smiles and grabs his face before leaving a kiss on his forehead. “I love you.”

The boy does the same to her and she laughs. “I love you too, bub.”

[Los Angeles, California]

With deep thoughts in his head, the famous CEO sinks in his chair as he lets out a tired sigh. The last two days he hasn't slept, all because of one reason; missing someone.

As CEO of the famous fashion designing company, it's his duty to confirm that everything is running smoothly in the company, in some other cases he models in the clothes designed but nowadays, he's been feeling tired.

He's tired of the same schedule. He's tired of going for interviews. He's tired of being famous. He's tired of being a CEO.

Standing up, he walks over to the glass wall and stares down at the city. Ever ytime he has a problem, he just stares at the view and it goes away but not this time. He doesn't even know what's wrong with him.

A single tear rolled down his cheek. “I miss you.”

-

“I hate you!” I shouted. “Uh, no you don't.”

Taking deep breaths, I tried to calm myself down. I sat on the floor, legs crisscrossed as I held my head in my hands.

Usually, I don't mind spending time at music club since one of my hobbies is singing. I've done singing for a while now and this club just hypes me up but I guess all that went down the drain. Someone won't let me work in peace and that very person has been teamed up with me for the music competition.

Any guesses on who the person is? You guessed right if you thought about Lamar.

“Why can't we just sing a hip-hop song?” he whined, pouting as he stared directly in my eyes.

Scoffing, I crossed my arms and glared at him.

“For the last time Lamar, there's no way I'm singing a hip-hop song.”

“Why not?” he asked.

“Because it's boring,” I stated, straightening my back as I looked at the boy who stood in front of me. He didn't break eye contact as his eyes narrowed.

The boy stuck his tongue out at me before walking off. I sighed in relief.

“Hey,” a deep voice broke the silence. Thinking that it was Lamar again, I groaned in frustration and covered my ears. I felt a person's presence beside me as he sat down where I was and began laughing. Opening my eyes and ears, I looked at his direction as a soft smile crept on my face.

“Hi,” I greeted softly as I scooted closer to him. “Don't you have a partner for the competition?” I asked as I played with my feet. He slowly nodded his head with a pout on his lips.

“She's so annoying, only just obsessed with me and not getting things right,” he whined with his eyes rolling back. I giggled at how cute he was when irritated. I ruffled his hair as I stood up. He looked at me with adorable wide eyes before copying my action.

The room was filled with kids from classes from all grades and let's just say, it was chaotic. The teenagers were talkative each corner of the room even our music teacher gave up on us and let us do whatever as he sat on a corner of the room, observing.

On one side of the room, we saw Jake's partner wave at him and send a flying kiss which made him gag and me laugh.  She kept glancing at him and doing anything to get his attention. Jake grew uncomfortable and decided to turn away from her. She pouted. In a teasing manner, I pouted my lips and made kissy noises in front of Jake which made Jake push my face away.

With that, I laughed.

“Why don't you go to her, she clearly wants you,” I nudged at him. “Or are you scared? Too shy?”

He rolled his eyes and folded his muscular arms while facing the wall. I chuckled at his reaction and rubbed at his shoulder.

“I was kidding, y'know. Not unless you want it.”

“Go away.”

This is gonna be fun...
