I walked into the school yard waiting for at least one person to strike conversation with me in my little corner near the benches, I was just on my phone until I heard a large crowd swarm off to one side, I went over to look at what everyone was making this commotion about, and youll never guess who was in the middle. The one and only Jason. Wow, mind blowing right? I then turned back to go to my corner when Damien appeared. I rolled my eyes.

Damien: Fancy seeing you here huh?

Emily: Piss off Damien I'm not in the mood

Damien: aw is someone mad about her boyfriend being more popular than she is? 

He pouted his lip mockingly.

Emily: I'm so done with this conversation

Damien: Wait-

He grabbed my arm

Emily: Don't touch me creep

Damien: Oh sorry princess

Emily: Ew oh my God don't call me that, but what do you want from me??

Damien: I was wondering, since neither of us have friends anymore because theyre all busy with other people that- mabye we could like mabye sit together today?

Emily: But why me..?

Damien: Because I feel bad for your lonely a- 

he stopped himself from swearing in front of a lady bc hes fr a gentleman frfrfr iykyk

I thought to myself before accepting the offer

Emily: Ugh okay.

Damien: nice, ill see you here at break then yeah?

Emily: Sure.

He finally dropped my arm and walked the other way, i stared at him a little, what goes on inside that guys head bro 💀 He's such a weirdo but hey at least im not lonely i guess. Oh no. I just realized, he's in my classes... oh god he better not try and be all buddy buddy with me. That'd be so weird for people to see.

I was walking to the corner when Jason appeared with his crowd of fangirls surrounding him, I tried to wave but he didn't see, we haven't even locked eyes the whole day. Oh well. At least I have Damien I guess? 

I saw Damien stood there in my corner, alone. Huh mabye this isn't a ploy to trick me just so he can bully me? I have a little bit of hope. 

[Damien waves]

Damien: Hey :)

Emily: Hello

Damien: I'm gonna be honest I don't know why we're doing this haha

he laughed awkwardly, I've never heard that from him. He usually seems so confident.

Emily: Why?

Damien: I don't even know what we're going to talk about to be honest. We barely know eachother-

I cut him off

Emily: Well that gives us chance to though then doesn't it?

His body language changed, he relaxed a little bit.

Damien: [Sigh of relief] Yeah you're right 

His facial expression lighted up

Damien: I just wanted to say something

Emily: What is it? Tell me 

Damien: I'm so sorry

Emily: For what?
