"Hey, I'm talking to you!" Yuki kicked Jay's leg as he lay on her bean bag.

Jay groaned as he opened his eyes slightly. "I'm listening."

"So? should I invite her to my birthday or not?" she asked.

"Call her? You want to be friends don't you?" he said still not understanding why was she asking him for advice when he himself was friends with Heeseung only because Heeseung initiated it.

"But what if she finds me annoying!? Like yeah she used to come to my birthdays in England but that's because our moms were friends. We literally never talked to eachother and she's so nice she won't even decline me trying to drag her everywhere with me!" Yuki cried making the boy sit up straight in annoyance.

"Then don't call her?" he said.

"But!! I want!! her!! to come!!" she urged making the boy stare at her for a full minute.

"Can't this man even get a shut eye for a moment?" Jay looked at her, no more interested in entertaining her stupid unending conversation which was just her talking the whole time.

"You're literally in my room," she replied giving him the same cold stare she had mastered from him.

"Oh- why do you even suddenly want to become friends with her? Didn't you say you'll not make friends anymore?" he was quick to change the topic back to Brielle because he didn't want to go back to his room.

"Oh! I didn't tell you that!?" she was shocked at herself, quickly forgetting she had to kick her rude brother out.

"So!" she took a deep breath. "I was like at the café near our school, I had escaped college early because I didn't feel like studying so-"

"Are you seriously telling your elder brother that you bunked school?" he interrupted, questioning her audacity.

"Uh.. yes- so! I was having ice cream because obviously it was very hot," she continued, sheepishly ignoring his question. "And! after my stomach was about to burst!"

"I'm sure you had two scoops," he said knowing very well the only thing she'd do was cry about wanting food and not actually eating much but she always had an insane amount of ice-cream according to her eating capacity.

"Yes!?" she said wondering how he knew. "Anyway, then! I went to pay! And guess what!?"

"You forgot your wallet?" he said in a monotonous voice.

"Yes!? and then! she came! and payed! for all of it!" she clapped happily.

"Wow..." he pretended to be amazed and clapped with her while shaking his head left and right.

"So that's why! I decided! I have to befriend her!"

"Then just call her over for your birthday. Who knows she might actually be touched? It's easy to make little girls happy," he said confidently as he had a little sister of his own.

Brielle rushed downstairs as she heard her mother tell her her friend was outside. "It's so hot outside how could mom not invite her in??"

"I'm sorry-" Brielle opened the gate abruptly but went quiet as she saw Jay leaning on his car in front of her house.

She kept staring at him, she didn't know what to say, she did... but she couldn't bring herself to ask what he was doing here. She wanted to apologise for making him wait but how when her heart was suddenly anxious.

"Hi Bri!!" she heard a shout and looked inside the car and saw Heeseung waving at her. The girl finally let go of the stern expression and let out a smile at the boy while waving him back.

"Oh?" Jay pulled out his airpods and raised his hand, "Hi, Brielle!" he smiled and Brielle could feel the anxiety returning.

"I'm running an errand for Yuki, I hope we didn't disturb you?" he said, looking at her with a pout as he noticed her stern expression.

"Uh.. no," she kept it short, what if she stuttered? It was best not to take risks.

"Great!" Jay smiled, he was dense, that was Jay. "I know it's just 2 days from now, but I hope you'll be able to make it! Yuki will be really happy," he said handing over the invitation. "Of course we'll make sure you have fun too!" he said realising he was acting like it was only about Yuki. She'd kill him if she found out he didn't remember the words she'd told him to say.

"Ah.. I see," she said, taking the invitation. Should I ask him to come in? Should I thank him for coming? No, no.. that'll be weird.

"I'll get going then!" he said, pulling her out of her thoughts making her look away as she realised she had been staring at him the whole time while thinking.

"Yes!" she nodded aggressively and the boy smiled again before he walking to the car.

Jay sat inside and looked at his friend, "Are all little girls like that?" he asked, unsure about what to make of the last encounter.

"Why?" Heeseung questioned back.

"I dunno, she felt rude. Yuki was like that at first too," he hissed while thinking hard.

"Oh please don't bad mouth Bri like that. There can't be anyone as rude as your sister."

"Are you talking shit about my sister in front of me?"

"Then!? Are you talking bad about my sister in front of me!?" Heeseung frowned back at the boy who was frowning at him.

"Who's your sister?" Jay asked, trying not to laugh.

"Brielle."

"From when?" his eyebrows turned up from the centre as he tilted his head, surprised at his idiocy.

"From today!!" the boy spoke, adamantly making Jay finally laugh but they stopped as they heard a knock on Jay's window.

"Brielle?" Jay mumbled as he rolled down the window. "Hm?"

"I'll be there!" she said looking him straight in the eye for once. Both the boys looked at her for a moment and Jay was suddenly taken aback as she smiled. "I'll make sure to come." she said and waved one last time before leaving.

Both the boys kept staring at her till she closed the gate behind her.

"I think you should take back your words," Heeseung told the boy who was still staring at the gate.

"I definitely need to take my words back," he nodded feeling a little guilty.
"Maybe it's because she's very well behaved."

"She's my sister after all," Heeseung nodded proudly.

"What are you so happy about? When she's not even aware the earth spat out a brother for her out of nowhere." Jay rolled his eyes as he started the car.

"Ayyy, You're just jealous I have a well behaved sister and you don't," Heeseung laughed.

"You seriously need to shut up before I throw you in front of a bus."

"Just say you're jealous."

"How about you shut the fuck up?"
