Now to learn about the next party member.
First up. Max Mayfeild. Originally from California, She moved to Hawkins beginning of Middle School. Same age of 'The Party'. She was spunky, a tom boy if you will. Fiery red hair, wont back down from a fight. She loved to skateboard, bike, play games. But she hated being the new girl. This wasn't her first time. Her moved moved around from guy to guy a lot so she tended to move quiet a bit. Hawkins, Indiana. New town, smaller then she's ever been too.
Max had spent a whole week in Hawkins before having to start at another brand new school. Not that there was much to explore, the mall was boring, she's been to bigger. She skateboarded around the whole town, tried out a few dinners. The only thing that even slightly caught her attention was the arcade that was on main street. It was a little run down, but it was the only reasonable thing she had found to do to kill some boredom. She got a few high scores on a few games just within a few days playing. Idoiots Max thought to herself.
First day of school. Max was running late. Her mom was out at her new job, and her new brother didn't bother to wake her up for school. She skateboarded as fats as she could go to try to beat the school bell on time. As she rode up to the bike rack to stick her board there the bell went of.
"Dammit!" She yelled running into the school.
She ran into her first class. Science. As she ran in, she stopped. The whole class went silent starring at her.
"Ah! Your must be Maxine. The new girl!" Mr Clarke the teacher greeted her.
"Its Max. I go by Max. No one called me Maxine." Max groaned rolling her eyes.
Mr Clarke nodded. "You can have a seat over by the window Max" He smiled.
As she walked she could feel four sets of eyes following her every move. When she looked up from her seat at them the four turned around facing the front of the class.
"Max? as in THE Max?!" Dustin whispered loudly.
"Theres NO way" Lucas replied.
"A girl beat our high school?!" Mike sneered.
"Guys calm down.. Shes new. Maybe she needs some friends" Will shrugged.
"What?! No way! We can't just invite a girl to the party" Mike snapped.
"Come on Mike, she'll need some friends" Dustin said.
"Guys.. be serious!" Mike groaned"
"Boys! ITs the first day of class. Can you please at least start the year by listening?" Mr Clarke said with a smile.
"Sorry Mr.Clarke" the boys said in unison.
The boys paid attention in class, but Dustin and Lucas kept checking back on her.
Max rolled her eyes. Teachers pets? she thought. The group of boys just looked like the normal nerd group you would see on the television.
~~ So, as you can expect, Mike lost. Dustin AND Lucas somehow managed to convince Max to sit with them at lunch.
They would take her to the arcade and watch her beat them all at games. She would watch Dustin and Lucas argue about her. She could also tell her presence annoyed Mike and she sorta enjoyed that. Max eventually became part of their party. Mike wouldn't admit she was a member but she knew she was. She became one of the boys.
First year of middle school was actually a breeze. The group passed their classes with flying colors. They started the A/V club in Hawkins Middle School. Well Max didn't part take but she always went anyways.
The last day before summer vacation, Lucas told Max how he really felt about her. Then they started dating. Dustin agreed it was for the best because he was off to science summer camp and could meet plenty of girls out there, which they all laughed about.
This was the start of the best summer vacation of their lives.
