Fury's POVI threw down the file and sighed loudly. This child was a... criminal? Maybe. His file was short and riddled with terrorism. There was no reasonable answer to any of these crimes. They ranged from kidnapping to blowing up national monuments to somehow travelling across the world with no papers. Rubbing my temple's, I started down at the file contemplating my options.
"Friday, get The Avengers here now."
Tony's POV
"Stupid Fury with his stupid eyepatch and responsibility." I grumbled, walking down the hall at the ungodly time of 6:45am. Other Avengers stalked behind me somehow, not looking like bedraggled cats. Other complaints echoed through the silent halls. The urge to turn around and run right back to bed increased significantly when I saw Spangles walking... briskly past all of us.
We arrived in the conference room in various states of decay - except for the one and only Capsicle-. Was sitting tall in his chair waiting for everyone. Nat looked on in mild concern as Peter walked in on the ceiling before dropping (literally) into his chair.
"So sir, what do you need?" The golden boy himself asked.
"I have a task for you. You need to find this boy. Bring him with breadcrumbs or the full Avengers treatment. I don't care. Just get him here." The pirate finished flicking a picture of a teenage boy onto the screen... a very familiar teenage boy with dark hair green eyes, in other words, my nephew. Yikes.
The room fell into an uncomfortable silence with flicked glances and wide eyes.
"Well, what is it? This is a suspected terrorist. We need to bring him in for questioning." Fury asked impatiently.
"That's my nephew."
Percy's POV
Breakfast seemed tense. As if I was missing something? Eh, I don't think I care that much. I was simply enjoying my eggs. I wanted to visit camp later, help out a bit. You know, put back into the community. Teach some 11 year olds how to kill a man... we all need family therapy.
Once again, the redhead... Wanda was looking at me as if I was going to go blow up national monuments. Wouldn't be the first time. I was about to be free of the awful breakfast table when everyone's head suddenly snapped up, staring straight at me. Great. I knew something was off. There's only so much spandex you can get away with.
"Hehe, hi guys, I'm going to go to my room now and possibly jump out the window onto my winged horse." I said, displaying my superb acting skills.
"Afraid we can't let you do that, son," Steve said, channelling the air of a grandpa trying to get out of paying his taxes. There's always one...
"Uhh and why not?" I asked tiredly. "Cause I kinda have plans today."
"Oh yeah, what would they be, more terrorism?" Clint asked condescendingly.
"Oh my gods, I thought they gave this up already. I. Am. Not. A. Terrorist. Holy Hera." I whined, pushing both my hands through my hair.
"Well, we have evidence that says otherwise, so you've gotta come with us. It won't take long since our boss Fury just wants to talk"
FURY OH HELL NAH. I maintain my ever persuasive facade.
"Great, well, this has been fun, but once again, I have to decline your ever so gracious offer." I said, turning on my heel, screaming Blackjacks in my mind's name, hoping he would respond.
I knew Annabeth would probably yell at me for running. "That's proving you have something to hide." And so on, but I really did have things to be going. Quickly walking down the hall, I saw a flash of red in my peripheral vision before I was being... webbed. It was not my proudest moment, and I related to Annabeth so much it hurt.
I fell forward, rolling forwards onto my knees. I realised I had been wonderfully surrounded.
With no trouble, Steve threw me onto his shoulder and started walking back down the hallway. I closed my eyes and prayed that The Fates would let me off easy.
Natasha's POV
Steve set the kid down on the chair opposite me. Across the metal table, I stared blankly at the teen. Despite being handcuffed to a table, he sat with the air of someone who could leave whenever they wanted.
"So uh... when can I leave?" Perseus asked, drumming his fingers on the table carelessly.
"Why did you blow up the arch?" I demanded, ignoring the question.
"Ugh, I did. Not. Do. That. I was literally twelve." He said, rolling his eyes.
This started the most tedious interrogation of my career.
Percy's POV
In the end, Natasha left, and Mr Pirate stalked in. I supposed that this was the "Fury" guy and was relieved to see that it wasn't an elderly bat lady destined to teach me sixth grade algebra. He sat down on the other side of the metal table and... just stared.
"Listen son your gonna have to start answering some questions, or we're going to have a problem here understand?" He said, raising his eyebrow.
"Mhm ok," I was really bored now. If I had to sit through every question again, I might actually explode.
"Your file doesn't add up does it," he paused eyeing me "You disappeared completely for eight months then were sighted multiple times around America and Europe with other teenagers, some of which who died years ago?" Fury finished.
"Yep, sounds about right." I replied, smiling."Can I go now? I really do have some plans I want to get to."
Mr Pirate did not appreciate my prior arrangements, though. His nostrils flared, and he pressed a finger to his ear
"Barton send her in. Now." Without another words, he stood up and left the room.My mind wondered while I waited for her to join me. I had my suspicions about who it would be considering there's only two girls that I knew of to be privy to my little investigation. My thoughts were interrupted by traces of an argument coming from outside... interesting.
"I am not interrogating him he's not even eighteen." I supposed that was Wanda, aka her. Well, I don't want you interrogating me either. The argument finished with the general consensus that the World's Mightiest Spandex Consumers need to get some information by the end of the day. Cue angry walking down hallway sounds. Once I again, I was left alone with my thoughts.
