Jungkook's gaze briefly met Jimin's, who consciously avoided returning the stare.
A subtle unease lingered as Jimin felt vulnerable under Jungkook's scrutiny, fearing his emotions were an open book.
Attempting to maintain composure, Jimin cleared his throat and addressed, "Mister Jeon, how did she die?" Abruptly, Jungkook interjected with a stark assertion, "You cried."
Jimin, now perplexed, stammered, "Excuse me?" Jungkook pressed further, sensing a mix of curiosity and a peculiar, fiery anger.
"You cried, didn't you?" he probed, breaking his usual detached demeanor.
Though not one to pry, a surge of curiosity compelled Jungkook, overshadowed by a strange yet intense anger.
Dismissing the concept of first love as absurd, he brushed it off with calculated indifference. "Hm, sorry," Jungkook mumbled, refusing to clarify further, his pride unyielding.
"It's fine; I was just surprised," Jimin replied, scanning the surroundings.
An uneasy silence hung in the air as Jimin questioned, "Mr. Jeon, are you stalking me?" Jungkook scoffed, sitting up straight.
"Of course not. Are you some kind of God? We only met today," he retorted.
Jimin, unfazed, responded,
"That's good because I have a boyfriend."
Jungkook, uninterested, replied, "So, how is that my business?" Determined to move on, Jimin suggested, "Let's get this done with."
Inquiring about Jungkook's well-being, he asked, "Is there anything that could make you feel better?"
Jungkook stared at Jimin, a hint of warmth breaking through his usual cold exterior. Stretching his hands forward, he tucked a strand of Jimin's blonde hair.
Jimin, caught off guard, blushed and stepped back.
"I told you, I have a boyfriend, Mr. Jeon," he asserted softly.
Jungkook, seemingly out of breath, admitted
"I know. I'm sorry. It's just... you are beautiful."
Jimin snapped him out of it, his tone tinged with panic. "You don't get compliments, do you?" Jungkook questioned.
"I do," Jimin defended.
"Then why do you look so insecure?" Jungkook probed.
"I do every day. I am very secure; my boyfriend compliments me," Jimin explained.
Jungkook chuckled, almost mocking Jimin's claims.
"Liar" jungkook mumbled
"Excuse me?" Jimin questioned, genuinely surprised by the unexpected turn of events.
"You're lying," Jungkook asserted, pinning Jimin in a tense silence.
