Bumseok rushed into the hospital, his face a mask of fear and anxiety.
He found Jimin's room and paused at the door, his heart pounding.
Taking a deep breath, he stepped inside.
Jimin lay on the bed, looking pale but peaceful.
Bumseok's relief was palpable, but it quickly gave way to overwhelming guilt and sorrow.
He collapsed into the chair beside Jimin's bed, burying his face in his hands.
"Jimin, I'm so sorry," he whispered, tears streaming down his cheeks. "I thought I lost you."
Jimin stirred slightly, his eyes fluttering open.
Seeing Bumseok in such a state, he managed a weak smile. "Bumseok... I'm okay," he said softly.
Bumseok looked up, his eyes red and puffy.
"I don't deserve you," he choked out.
"I've been a monster. I've been no different from my father."
Jimin gently patted Bumseok's head, offering what little comfort he could.
"Tell me, Bumseok," he urged quietly.
"I... I don't know why I behave this way," Bumseok began, his voice trembling.
"I get so angry, so aggressive. It's like I can't control it.
And then I see you, and I know I'm hurting you, and it kills me inside."
"I'm scared, Jimin," Bumseok continued, his voice breaking.
"I'm scared I'm becoming him. That I'm using my power to hurt the ones I love, just like he did."
Jimin's heart ached at Bumseok's confession.
He continued to stroke Bumseok's hair gently, trying to offer solace.
"You're not your father," he whispered.
"You're here, and you're trying to change. That's what matters."
Bumseok looked up at Jimin, his eyes filled with a mixture of hope and despair.
"How can you still care about me after everything I've done?"
"Because I know you, Bumseok," Jimin replied softly.
"I know you're struggling, but I also know you're capable of being better. And I'll be here to help you, every step of the way."
Bumseok's tears fell freely, his defenses crumbling in Jimin's embrace.
"I don't deserve you," he whispered, his voice barely audible.
"I've done so many terrible things. I've hurt you. I've hurt myself."
Jimin's own eyes filled with tears as he pulled Bumseok into a tight hug.
"You're not alone in this," he said softly.
"We'll face this together. You're not beyond redemption, Bumseok. You're worth fighting for.
Bumseok's tears fell freely, his defenses crumbling in Jimin's embrace.
Jimin's own eyes filled with tears as he pulled Bumseok into a tight hug.
Bumseok clung to Jimin, drawing strength from his gentle presence.
"I held you so close because I was terrified you'd leave, just like everyone else has. Will you leave me too, Jimin?"
Jimin's heart wrenched at Bumseok's vulnerability.
