(Blue By Zach Bryan)Hayden's Pov
"Tucker, Sit!" I yelled quietly as Dylan and I walked into my house.
Tucker didn't listen. He ran towards the person that he had never seen before, and ran around him, jumping up and down. I put my things down, and opened the door to the backyard fully, instead of leaving him to just use the doggy door.
Cue the zoomies.Tucker ran out of the house within a matter of seconds, running around the backyard causing all of the floodlights to go on with his motion.
"Thank you." I said, turning to face Dylan.
"Of course. No matter what, I want you to always call me when something is happening. Beside your dad or brother- you can call them before me but-" He rambled before I cut him off with my laughter.
"Don't worry, I will." I said, looking around at my dimly lit house.
"Do you want something to eat while you're here? I make a mean frozen pizza." I said, opening the freezer and pulling out the box.
"Yeah sure." He smiled, before Tucker ran inside and back to him.
"That's Tucker. He has way too much energy for his own good." I said as I looked down at the dog that has been my best friend for the past few years.
The only thing in my life that had ever been a change that I liked. Now I'm standing with a guy who is changing my life and I like it. I stared at Dylan as he leaned down and ran his hands across Tucker's head.
"You're my new best friend, Tucker." He said in a baby voice, which made me happy.
If you don't talk in a baby voice to your animals, they are not your animals.
"Did you know that guy that was following you?" He asked, standing up straight after Tucker ran back outside.
"No clue who he is. And I'm not a person that has problems with people, so it's confusing." I ran my fingers through my hair as he sat down on a bar stool while I put the pizza on a pan and into the oven.
"You're too nice for your own good sometimes." He shook his head with a smile as I turned to face him.
"I wasn't raised to hate people, or to spread hate." I opened the fridge, grabbed two soda's and slid one of the cans across the counter.
"That's what makes you, you though. How nice, how kind, respectful, and how much you care about people." I stared at him in awe as he spoke.
"Thank you for coming as quickly as you did."
"Always. And I mean it. I would drop anything for you, or to help you, to talk to you. Anything."
We ate, and we talked. Talking to him was so comforting, and it was so freeing. I felt like I could say anything to him, and he wouldn't judge. He was becoming part of my new normal and it made every day feel worth it.
"Do you wanna come out with my family when my brother comes into town?" I dropped the question, ripping the band aid off.
"You want me to meet your family?" He asked, taken aback by my request.
"Yeah... We normally go boating and hangout on the beach all day." I shrugged, showing that I didn't care about his answer, but I so desperately wanted him to come hangout with us.
I wanted him to get along with my family.
"I'll clear my schedule." He chuckled, causing me to turn away as my face heated up.
"It will be my parents, my brother and his friend, you and me, and Tucker!"
"Tucker will be there? I'll definitely make it." He joked, a smile crossing his face.
