Shouldn't you be helping Annabeth and Luke train the others?" "I was gone for 11 months. I thought you'd want to spend some time with me." I state. He looks at me like I'm joking. I'm trying to convince my dad to let me drive because he won't let me.

"In all of your 17 years of living you've never once willingly spent time with me." "Well I'm getting older and you're not getting any younger obviously." He glares at me when I say this. "So why not?" I suggest. "What do you want?" He asks

"I just don't get why? I have my motorcycle licenses and that's like the most dangerous vehicle to own, but you won't let me have a car or get my license." "For the sake of gods, there's a difference between knowing what to do and how to do it." My dad leans back as he takes a sip of his Pepsi whilst sitting in his chair with his feet propped up on the table.

"How about this? You could get Luke to take me or something. He's more patient than you and he knows how to drive." "Oh no, young lady. Remember the accident of 2020? The only way im giving you a car is if Zeus himself came down here ina flash if lightning with a mercedes parked in the driveway." "I hate you..." I say glaring at my father to which he smirks at me. He knows Zeus wouldn't do that as much he Po and Hades love me they only way I'd get a freakin car is if I stole one and I don't want to steal one. That's morally wrong.

"I love you too, Hufflepuff." I roll my eyes.
"Now, get out." He tells me. My mouth drops. "Dad-" "uhp."

"Oh come on-" "Nope."

"Seriously-" "aht!"

My mouth opens to protest but he holds his finger up and points to the door. "Fine." I say before walking away.

I walk back towards the cabins to get to the bathroom. I need to fix my hair. I open the bathroom door and freeze in the doorway. "The prodigal daughter returns." I press my lips together nervously as I force a smile at Clarisse. "Clarisse. So good to see you." "Drop the act, princess. I heard we're getting a new halfblood added to camp." She inquires as I walk over to the sink. I pull the pins out of my hair and it falls to its natural length. "Didn't take you for a pink girl." I lean my head down into the sink and start to wash out the dye. "It suits you." I snap my head up  and inhale sharply. "What do you want Clarisse?" I ask softly not in the mood for small talk with the bitch who cheated on me.

"You know what I want." She says reaching for my hand. I pull back and look at her with a serious face. "You don't get to cheat on me and then get me back. That's not how this works Clarisse." "Athedia, come on. It was a mistake and it was just spin the bottle." She states. "Spin the bottle with the same guy in this very bathroom?" I ask rhetorically. "Princess..." "No! You don't get to call me that. I'm not your princess anymore." I place my hands in my hair ring it out. I look at my hair and see the pinks gone. "And I sure as hell am not your friend." I say before leaving the bathroom.

I place my hands on the doorknob of my cabin and squeeze my eyes shut. I feel an arm wrap around my shoulders and pull me  into their chest. I let out a quiet sob and wrap my arms around his torso. "I got you hermana." He opens the door to my cabin and guides me inside.

He sits on my bed and I place my head on his lap as he strokes my wet hair. I slowly start to drift off to sleep. "Rest up, Athedia."

Flashes of people, a car, a road, rain, and thunder race through my mind. I can feel how cold it is. I can sense the fear. Grover, Percy, and. a woman race down the street. I hear a beastly roar and a giant Minotaur is chasing them. I see a bright light infront of me and a horn honks. I look at the car and then at the Minotaur but neither is slowly down. The car goes swerves off the road and the Minotaur gets hit by the truck. "GROVER!"

I'm shaken out of my sleep by someone. "Addy! Wake up I really need your help." I groan and I slowly open my eyes to see Grover staring at me. "Grover?" I say squinting my eyes to see if it's really him. "Yeah it's-" "GROVER!" I jump up and hug him.

"You're okay!" I say pulling back and grabbing his face examining him. "Yeah- yeah." His face brightens up and I hug him tightly. "I had a dream that you were in a car and there was this woman and- and Percy. A Minotaur was attacking you and you got into an accident-" I gasp when I realise he's back. "Percy! What happened to Percy?" I say getting out of my bed and racing over to my closet. "He killed the Minotaur but his mom didn't make it. He's hurt and I was wondering if-" "He's hurt? I need to go into the forest and grab some herbs." I say before entering my bathroom and shutting the door.

"Can I help?" He asks from the door. "W-with the herbs! Not the...showering." He clears his throat. "Yeah sure. Grab my bag and head out. I need some moss from the lake, about five devilberries, and wisp nectar." "Got it." I hear shuffling in my room and then the door opens and closes.

I sit by a tree and hold the moss and berries in my hands. I squeeze the berries in my hands and let the juice fall onto the moss coating it. "Wisp nectar!" Grover says running over to me holding out a vile. "Hopefully with this it should start to glow that means it's ready." I explain. He sits next to me and I take the vile and out only a drop on the moss. We watch closely waiting for it to glow. It start give off a light purple glow. I chuckle in disbelief. "You're a godsend!" I turn to Grover and kiss his cheek.

I stand up and start to head back to camp. I look back and see Grover in the ground looking stunned. "Grover! Come on!" I shout. He snaps out of it. "Oh! Coming!" He grabs my bag and runs after me.

The paste did indeed heal his wound. I knew spending that year in the woods after Zeus put a hit out on me a few years ago would pay off. That's a story for a different time.

I place a cold towel to his forehead to calm his fever. I hear him breathing softly and inhale. His body starts to turn over. "Welcome back to the land of the living, Percy." I say as I wring out the towel and place it on my lap. He looks at me and narrows his eyes. "It's okay. You're safe." Grover assures him. He looks over at the table behind us. He's eyeing the Minotaur horn.

"It really happened." He says in disbelief. "It's a big deal to kill a monster like that. I wanted everyone to know-" "did you see it?" He asks cutting him off. "Did you see what happened to my mom?" My mouth parts as u glance at Grover. He looks at his lap "I did." "I'm so sorry about your mom, Percy." I say sincerely. "And I'm sorry...for...everything." He says defeated. "My job was to protect you, to get you here safely. Maybe irbid told you the truth a little sooner, your mom would still be here-" "Please..." he says tiredly. He places a hand on his temples to soothe the headache I know he has. "Stop." "I know this isn't easy but I wanna talk about it." Grover states. "I don't." Percy sits up. "You should be standing up. You have a concussion you could pass out again." I warn. "I feel fine." He tells me. "Just take this. If you feel like you're gonna pass out one sip and you're good." I say handing him a vile of the healing medicine I made.

"Thanks, Athedia." I nod. He puts his pants on. "Your job was to get me here alive. So your job is done." He walks to the door. "Where are you going?" Grover asks. "It was so important I get her 'cause my father's a god. So I'm gonna go find him." "That's not-" he walks out the door before u can finish. "Okay." I say pressing my lips together.

I glance over at Grover and see him staring shamefully at his lap. I take my hand and slip it into his. He look at me with slightly wide yes. "He's right. You did your job. He's safe. Don't feel sorry for things that were completely out of your control." "This is just like Thalia-" "And both of them died protecting the people they love. None of those situations were your fault. So stop blaming yourself. Okay?" I stare him right in the eyes so he knows I'm not lying. "Okay." "Good. We should probably go downstairs though before my dad tries to get another student to give alcohol to him again." I say seriously.
