You know I could've just stayed at home but I wanted to learn how to be independent on my own. Even though I'm here more than my actual cabin.

"Peter Johnson is here!" I hear my dad yell. Grover starts running faster than the speed of sound to get to Percy before he can say something stupid. Those goat legs sure can run. He's a runner he's a track star he gon run away when it gets-

"Addy!" I blink rapidly and focus my attention on Grover. "Mr. D, Camp Director." "And my father." I say nonchallantly. Percy looks at me and then at Mr. D. "I'm adopted." Dionysus is not a vengeful or a spiteful person. An asshole? Maybe. An alcoholic? Definitely.

"Mr. D, this is, uh Percy Jackson." Grover says nervously. "Yeah, Grover. I heard him the first time." Dad says taking his shades off and tossing them on the table. "Yeah but did you?" "Then why did you call him, Peter?" Me and Percy ask narrowing our eye me being confused and him being irritated.

Grover turns Percy towards him. "You really don't wanna start with this guy." "He's starting with me." I snicker. "Percy, the D is for Dionysus. That's Dionysus." Grover says sternly in a hushed whisper. "What do you mean, Dionysus? The- Like the god, Dionysus?" "Yes." Grover answers. "No way. Wait, Nyodisuson? Dionysus- so that means she's a...?" He points to me without actually looking at me. "Yes!" I walk over to ny dad and pick up the pack of Coca Cola by his chair. I take one. "Hey!" I open it and look it him. I hold three fingers up as I place the can to my lips. I count down and point. Me and Mr. D start gulping down the cans.

I hear a can hit the ground. I pull back from the can and gasp for air. He laughs. "Told you, you couldn't out drink me." "I will one day." He smiles smugly. Percy walks up to the table and looks at us. "Excuse me, Your Highnesses?" "Oh." Dad cringes at the name. "Yes, peasant?" Dad hits my stomach "Sorry."

"I think my dad may be around here somewhere." He states. "I don't know how to ask for him. I don't- I don't even know his name." He explains. "But I think I should see him. I just..." He struggles to find his words. i think i really need that right now." Percy states. "Can you help me?" "Actually..." My dad uncrosses his legs and sits up. "I think I can." He answers.

"Son."

"The fuck?" I exclaim, he's not his daddy. "Dad?" "Yes, Peter." He says getting his name wrong again. "It's Percy." "Exactly. Now before we get to know each other, there's something very important I want you to do for me, okay?" "Oh my gods." I say placing my head in my hands, the only thing sadder than this is the fact that Percy doesn't know how genetics work. "Wait that means we're siblings." Percy tells me. "Meh, close enough." I say to myself I say grossing by arms.

"In the galley, there is a bottle of 1985 Châteua Haut-Brion. Will you go fetch that for me?" "There it is." I press my lips together, shaking my head. "Is that really all you have to say to me?" He asks in disbelief. "Hey, um, Mr. D even if Percy was-" "don't. It'll make this last longer." I say holding my hands up to stop Grover from continuing. He takes a breath. I can sense the tension in his body, meaning he's vexed but just a little bit.

"Grover, Athedia, quiet please. This is a nice moment, don't ruin it." I pat his back comfortingly. "The galley is right down that path. Grab that bottle and I'll talk to you about whatever you want. You know, uh...you, uh...me, who cares?" I scratch my right temple and let out a sigh of agitation.

Percy simply scoffs as he makes his step. Then he stops when he sees Chiron walking to the gazebo. "Oh thank gods." I say in relief.

The rooms gets very silent as Percy just stands there looking at him. It's so quit yet so loud. "Percy." "Mr. Brunner?" He says confused. "Uh, Mr. Brunner's real name is Chiron." Grover says steps forward to standing to him. "Camp activities director, immortal trainer of heroes, he is-" "Grover, thank you, I'll take it from here." He says cutting off his introduction.

"Oh, Percy, this must be a lot for you to process." "Oh no it's- it's fine. I mean, you're a horse. My father won't talk to me unless I get him a drink." I inhale sharply. "Actually..." I say trailing off. "This all seems totally reasonable." "Oh, no no no. No. Mr. D is not your father." He clarifies.

Percy and Grover look at my dad. "I could be." "Could you? Could you really? I mean I saw his mom and no offense..." I say trailing off. "Wait what? How?" "Long story." I say waving Percy off. My dad looks at me offended. Placing a hand on his heart with his mouth gaped open. "Ouch." He turns to Chiron. "Why must the two of you ruin everything?" "Boredom."

"Mr. D knows that Zeus has forbidden him from consuming alcohol. And that demigods are able to do things for gods that gods are forbidden to do for themselves. Mr. D is taking advantage of that." "He's right he tried to get me to make him a Negroni when I was like 5 but then Chiron stepped in and stopped it." I explain.

Dad simply shrugs. He tried. "Percy, walk with me, and we'll star again. Hm?" Chiron asks. "Uh, Grover, please give us a moment." He backed away as Chiron takes Percy down the path.

I turn on my heel and stare at my dad. "What?" He asks shrugging. "You have to stop trying to get kids to bring you alcohol it's wrong on so many levels." I say shaking my head before taking the path. "I tried!" He shouts. I turn back around walking backwards. "Grover! Don't forget!" I shout referring to our 'date'. "I won't!"

Grover
"Forget what?" Mr. D asks curiously. I feel a small chill run up my spine. A bead of sweat goes down my neck. I slowly turn to Mr. D. "Uh just hanging out later." I say trying not to make it sound like a date. "Sounds like a a date." He says taking a sip of another can of coke. "No. No, it's just two friends hanging out." I clarify. "Grover?" I look back at Mr. D and see his eyes darken and the coke can no longer in his hands.

"Hurt my daughter and I'll kill you."

I smile nervously and let out an awkward chuckle. "Yes sir." I say as fear racks through my body.

Athedia
On my way back to my cabin I spot Annabeth against my door looking at something. Then I see Percy walking out of Hermes Cabin with Luke. Oh gods she doing it again. I should really stop her from doing that, it's kind of stalking. Scratch that it is stalking. God. me and Luke turned that kid into a force to reckoned with.

Except then I see Clarisse messing with Percy and for some strange reason I feel a strange protection over the boy. That I only have with my friends. Which are only Grover, Luke, and Annabeth.

I walk over to them and step infront of Percy. "Back off, Clarisse." She smirks at me. "What are you gonna do if I don't?" She says intimidating me. "Something!" I say sternly. "Well when you find out what that something is let me know, Princess." She says winking at me before her and her minions/siblings walk away.

"Beautiful bitch!" I say kicking the ground. Luke helps Percy up. "Well she seems nice." "Ares kids." Luke states."Why don't they mess with you  two?" "They know better." Luke states. "Luke's the strongest swordsman at camp and Addy's Mr. D's kid and Luke's sister so that makes them both pretty much untouchable." Chris explains. "And she's my ex." Percy's head snaps to me so fast it could've given him whiplash. "You're gay?" "I prefer the term queer but sure. My preferences lie within not with out." I state.

"What was within her?" He says curling his lisp into a grimace. "Shared trauma? Daddy issues? I suck at signs." I say honestly. "So they leave you alone cause 'glory'?" Percy asks us. Luke simply nods and I move my hand in a meh motion. "She's just being modest." Luke says wrapping his arms around my shoulders. "So if I get glory, Clarisse wouldn't mess with me either?" "Exactly." Luke answers.

"And people think I'm a big deal?" "Well sorta but-" "yes! You're a huge deal." I say boosting his ego. Luke side eyes me and I wink. He must crumble before he can rise. "And my dad's got no choice but to claim me." He adds.

"You can't force the gods to do anything." "Well yeah but...it would make it harder for him to pretend I don't exist, right?" He asks. Oh and he's got hope. Jesus, I hate to be the guy breaking his spirit. "That's the spirit." I say sitting Percy on the back. "Maybe." "Hey Luke, you're a badass. Why don't you train 'im?" I suggest. "Sure, but where are you going?" He asks me. "Me and Grover are hanging out later." I say as I turn my back and walk towards my Cabin noticing my sister is absent from where she was standing.
