Smile?

Chapter 7

"What?! That's impossible!" Eri exclaimed, dying of laughter.

"I saw it with my eyes!" Emi added, "I promise!"

Eri laughed for another minute, before calming down.

"Are you and Mr. Aizawa dating?" Eri asked, changing the subject.

"What?! No! I have a boyfriend." Emi responded.

"Oh... I just thought you were. He was talking about you a lot." Eri added.

"Talking about me?" Emi asked, confused, "What do you mean?"

"While we were walking here. He called you funny, joyful, and amazing." Eri explained.

Emi smiled, and thought, "Wow, he thinks about me..."

"But if you have a boyfriend, I guess it'll never happen," Eri added, shrugging.

Emi's smile quickly faded after she said that. She shook her head and remembered that she couldn't be thinking like this. Emi decided to change the topic.

"So, when did you first come to U.A?" Emi questioned.

"Well, it hasn't been a while. I love it here! Everyone's so nice to me and I have so many friends now!" Eri exclaimed.

"That's nice." Emi commented, "I'm happy for you! You know, I work at Ketsubutsu Academy High School myself,"

"So what are you doing here?" Eri asked.

"I just needed to get away for a few days," Emi answered.

Emi was about to say something when they heard a ringing sound. Emi stood up confused, and opened her room door.

"That's weird. Eraser said he would be back in an hour. It's only been twenty minutes."

She motioned for Eri to stay in her room, and Emi hesitantly made her way to the front door.

"Eraser?" Emi questioned, not knowing what to do.

She looked through the peephole and saw black hair. She sighed in relief when she realized it was Aizawa.

"I thought you'd be back in an hour, Eraser," Emi commented, opening the door.

She gasped when she saw Kaito standing there, with his hands in his pocket. He quickly grabbed Emi by the neck and tightened his grasp.

"So here I was, looking for you everywhere. Come to find out that you're cheating on me!" He exclaimed, his eyes full of anger.

"I... w-wasn't!" Emi wheezed trying to break free from his grasp.

She used her quirk to make him burst into laughter. She used this chance to break free from his grasp, and start running away from him and towards her room. She turned around to see if he was still chasing her, but he disappeared. Her eyes widened and she turned around to look for him. Suddenly, she felt a hand squeezing her shoulder.

"We're getting out of here." He muttered, sending shivers down Emi's spine.

"Get off me Kaito!" She yelped.

He covered her mouth and attempted to yank Emi out the front door. He managed to take a step before Emi heard a punching sound. She slammed her eyes shut, and when she opened them, she saw Kaito on the floor, and Eraser standing in front of him.

"Next time you decide to break in somewhere, make sure there are no cameras," Aizawa said, using his capturing weapon to grab him, so he wouldn't escape. A few people rushed inside, and they took him away.

"This isn't over, Emi," Kaito whispered, as the door shut.
