They didn't come back.
The first 3 months of there absence was the hardest, many people thinking they could mess with me now that I was by myself. I already knew how to take care of myself but now I can protect others as well. 6 months have passed and the TV just switched from my brother and friends turning good to a news report whom I turned out. I was thankful I had been in the shadows while they were here, it kept me off of most target lists, but I still had enemies. the main ones being Uma and her crew. it was more of a guilty by association but that still means i'm guilty.
so here I am in front of the Fish and Chips swallowing my pride. As much as I can take care of myself, sleeping in dark, damp alley ways is not the best thing for my safety. So landing myself among Uma's crew means I at least get a hammock. I take a deep breath before I push through the swing doors carrying myself with confidence.
"Well, well, well. what do we have here?" Harry hook asks mockingly while he runs his hook through my hair. I grab his hand and push it away.
"I'm here to speak to your captain I have a question for her" I ask with a dry and even tone. I see Uma walk into the room and throw a tray at a customer. the customer complains only to be shut down and silenced. Harry walks up to her and tells her of my presence. I sit at the bar table and when she walks up to me I straighten up ever so slightly.
"What do you want?" she asks bitterly. I know this will be hard to achieve but form my own well being I need to become a part of her crew no matter what.
"Captain Uma, it's good to see you again. I trust you've seen the betrayal we've been given by Mal and them?" I say trying to find common ground. I know Mal and her gang bullied her and called her names but I never did, but I didn't stop it either.
"Yeah so?" she questions weary of my intentions and rightfully so. I adjust in my seat and keep eye contact with her.
"I was promised they would return and since they broke the promise, I'm mad. my loyalty was only with them due to my brother being loyal to them as well. however I no longer have a reason to be loyal." I say, it was mostly true though I was friends with the VK's if it wasn't for Carlos I wouldn't of been. I always preferred the sea and the thought of sailing always made me smile.
"I still don't see how that has anything to do with you here on my territory." her tone getting progressively more annoyed by the minute.
"Can I join your crew?"
