The Alliance - 3

A month has passed since I joined Uma's crew. It took some convincing and of course I had to prove my skills but it worked. Even though I am just a mere crew member I still sleep under a roof with a hammock as a bed. Granted I'm sleeping in the same area as the rest of the crew but it's better than being alone in an alley. I've grown accustomed to the schedule. wake up, do the chores, get lunch, do more chores, hang out at Fish and Chips, go to bed. Today started out normal, we were all in Fish and Chips when Harry comes rushing in and shouts that we're under attack. I quickly grab my sword from the sword check and run out towards the ship. I notice a group of wanna be thugs trying to take over. I scoff as I go after the one in the front. 

"Go back home little boy" I taunt the guy. He growls like a dog and I have to stop a laugh from escaping at the sound. Was he a dog? why the growl? I think to myself. before I could taunt more the guy lunges at me with his sword ready to strike only for him to stumble off to the side when I dodge out of the way. This is who is attacking us? pathetic. Out of the corner of my eye I notice someone sneak up behind Uma, Harry notices as well but he's fighting two men as well. So I rush over and tackle the one who tried to ambush Uma. I punch him once, twice, three times and he's out could with a missing tooth and blood dripping down his chin. I stand up quickly ready to fight again when I notice the offenders running away. 

"Cowards" I scoff under my breath. I turn towards Uma and I see she's staring at me with wide eyes. 

"What?" I ask I look to Harry and I see his gaze is locked onto to my side. I look down and see a dark red stain on my close, that's when the adrenaline wears off. 

"Oh" I say breathlessly before I collapse to the ground. The last thing I hear before I lose consciousness is my name being yelled by a voice with a thick Irish accent.
