"Come on Ishan, don't tell me that you didn't feel a litte happy when you heard that Shubman and Sara broke up!" Shreyas gave a last try at convincing Ishan, not expecting it to work out.
But, to his surprise, Ishan was caught rather off-guard at this.
Ishan looked away from Shreyas.
"W-What are you saying? Why on Earth would I feel happy to know that my best friend's relationship just ended!"
"Yeah, then why are you stuttering?"
Shreyas said, finally getting an upper-hand in the conversation.
"I'm not stuttering, bhai! Honestly I can't believe that you have also gone mad like Sara!"
"Actually, we are the only sane people here. Sadly, my sanity is on question now, as I have to throw some light on your eyes!" Shreyas said.
"whatever!" Ishan said, getting up from the couch and walking towards the window.
"walking away from this conversation? Well, you can do that but please don't walk away from the truth, and more importantly, don't walk away from yourself!"
Ishan suddenly turned back at Shreyas and his eyes seemed really red.
At that very moment, there was a sound of the door opening in their room.
"Shreyas bhai?! I told you to talk to Ishan, not to make him cry! " Shubman said, getting in.
"arrey yaaar! When did I even make him cry? I was trying to convince him only! Ishan, say something!"
"He is lying Shub! He was saying stuff like I'm in love with you and I was happy when you and Sara broke up"
Ishan said, teaming up against Shreyas.
"Ughh, what can I even expect of these two...!" Shreyas thought in his mind.
Even Shubman acted innocent now.
"what? why were you saying things like this to him?! why would he be in love with me? You should at least ask me before saying these to him!"
"Gaddari kar-" Shreyas couldn't even finish his sentence when the door was closed on his face.
"okay, Shreyas bhai! Goodnight!" Shubman said before closing the door.
"Goodnight bhaiiiii!" Ishan screamed from inside.
Shreyas chuckled at this.
No matter how mischievous they were, the ICT could not help loving them. They were like the soul of the team.
He hoped that they would finally acknowledge their feelings.
He, as well as all the other members of the team, wanted the two pranksters to be together for such a long time.
They waited for them to realise this everyday...but well, it never happened !
They still did not lose their hope though...if they did, then why would Kuldeep text Sara about Shubman's infatuation towards Ishan?
And Sara, the ultimate definition of beauty with brains, took this quite sportingly.
She planned the break-up and kept updating Shreyas and Kuldeep about everything.
They thought the call to Ishan would be a bit too much, but she insisted on it.
She said that that would be the masterstroke in their plan...and well, she was quite right.
Till now, everything went according to their plan.
Shreyas was particularly proud of how he delivered the speech to Shubman. He, Sara, and one of Sara's friends,Aman, facetimed all night the previous day to prepare it.
He and Sara both had well predicted what would Shubman do afterwards...and they were correct.
Aman, a teacher of English in Oxford, helped specifically to prepare that speech.
Shreyas was thankful for everything.
He constantly repeated the idiom "all's well that ends well" in his head while going to his room.
