"What if he doesn't have any other feelings for me? What if he just sees me like a friend?" Sara complained.

"Why? You two have been together for more than 1 year now! What is this "situationship" thing?" Neha said.

Sara, Neha and Aman were out for  lunch in Mumbai.

They went to the same school and were known as the "topper-trio".  They always fought for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd ranks during their exams.

But Aman grabbed the 1st position most of the time.

Despite all the competition and rat-race, the three of them were very close. There never existed any jealousy.

"what do you think, Aman?" Sara asked.

Aman became rather silent whenever there was any discussion regarding Sara's love life.

Even in school, he never participated in the teasing when Sara's crush came in front of her.

He had promised to never have any feelings for any girl, but oh, who can control one's heart? He fell for his best friend.

That was the biggest mistake of his life as whenever Sara had a crush on anyone, he would be the first person she would tell and he had to play along.

He was stuck in a similar position right now.

"I think he has feelings for you, Sara! Why don't you ask him out?" He finally said.

Neha, getting excited at this new proposal, said, "that's a great idea! Sara, you should definitely ask him out!!"

"But-"

"There's no 'but' , Sara! He likes and you like him! Stop overthinking and go for it...!" Neha protested.

"Wait, let's listen to her first!" Aman said.

"It's just that he doesn't look at me the way he looks at..." Sara paused.

"The way he looks at who?" Neha and Aman said in unison.

"Ishan." Sara finally blurted out.

"Seriously?" Neha had a smile of relief on her face. "Ishan Kishan is his best friend, Sara! The whole country knows that!

"Who said you can't fall for your best friend?" Aman said, almost in a whisper.

"Huh?" Sara asked.

"Nothing."

"But what if he likes Ishan more than a friend? You know what they say, pyaar dosti hain. So if I'm not his closest friend, he'd never fall in love with me!" Sara said.

"These kind of things only happen in movies, Sara! Don't worry!" Neha reassured her.

"You do one thing Sara, ask Shubman out on a date this Friday. Ask him out after you finish eating. Neha and I would be sitting in the opposite table, incase something goes wrong. Shubman doesn't know our faces, so it won't be a problem." Aman said.

"That's actually a good plan!" Neha said. "Don't say any 'but' Sara!"

Sara laughed. She felt light whenever she was with Aman and Neha.

They could light up her whole world.
