A story about an (almost) all-female species of heart stealers who needed to magically swap hearts with human boys and men to survive. The main character comes from a family of heart stealers whose house gets raided by a secret police force trying to study the heart stealers, and she gets taken by them to a secret facility. At this facility is a boy who is an incredibly rare son of a heart stealer. Heart stealer sons lack their mother's abilities, but are said to have the strongest hearts there are. The heart stealer girl ingratiates herself to the boy in order to eventually steal his heart and escape. There was a prequel about the girl's older sister, who didn't want to steal boys' hearts and chose to waste away instead.
