A story set in a dystopian London where genetic modification swept the globe and was then banned. The technology didn't disappear, though, just got hoarded among the uber-wealthy. The main character is a teenage girl with rich parents who had their two daughters modified in secret. Her older sister mysteriously disappeared in the years prior, and now our MC is about to graduate boarding school. Anti-mod sentiments are on the rise with the election of an openly anti-mod mayor/president, but the MC finds out the mayor/president's son was also modded. They team up, eventually leaving the city entirely and stumbling onto a refugee camp. I didn't finish this one, but I believe there was a sequel.
