"I wanted to tell you all my secrets but you became one of them instead."

~Kennedy's POV~

Caleb was overjoyed when me and Noah returned from our day out. He kept commenting about how great it is to see his little sister and his best friend getting along. I've rolled my eyes so much today it starting to hurt but I'm to nice to ruin the moment and tell Caleb me and Noah really aren't friends still.

"Caleb we only went to the arcade and got some icecream, it's not a big deal." I tell him again.

"But you're making progress and trying." He smiles and hugs me before going to his room.

I smile happy that I could make him happy. I hate to admit it but spending the day with Noah wasn't half bad. A few rude remarks but it went well, maybe we could be friends?

It's worth a shot I guess.

------------------

The rest of the day is quite uneventful and before I know it its time to get ready for school the next morning.

I throw on random skinny jeans and a t-shirt before meeting Caleb in the kitchen.

"Morning." I say grabbing a banana from the counter. He makes some kind of noise between a grunt and a yawn.

He's not much of a morning person.

We remain silent for a few more minutes before we leave for school. We're almost late so I don't have time to meet Alana at my locker, instead I head straight for physics.

Noah's in my class and we usually ignore eachother or often amuse the class with snide remarks to eachother.

Today though he sits in the desk next to me. I look at him suspiciously and he just shrugs.

The class starts and were told to work on yesterday's assignment. I pull out my work and flip open my text book.

"Hey Ken, can we share your book? I forgot mine." Noah whispers to me. I roll my eyes but move the book so it's in between us.

With ten minutes left of class I finish my work and go turn it in. When I get back to my sit my book is closed and pushed back to my spot. Noah must be finished too.

The bell rings and I go to my locker. As I'm putting my book away and piece of paper falls out of it.

I look at it confused for a good thirty seconds before bending down and picking it up. I unfold it, see its from Noah, and read;

Kennedy, I have a proposition for you.

I stop reading right there. I didn't even know Noah knew the word proposition. After a few seconds I continue reading.

Caleb wants us to be friends right? You want to make him happy and so do I. We may not get along when we're just hanging out but what if we had a motive? You want revenge on Jason, so do I for getting Caleb benched. I have a plan to do that. I'll explain more later. Oh and don't tell anyone about this.

I'm really surprised by this. It is a good idea though. We get revenge on Jason and Caleb thinks were friends from hanging out more.

I see Alana coming and I quickly fold the note back up and stuff it into my back pocket.

She looks at me suspiciously. "Love note?" She asks smirking. I laugh and shake my head quickly. I've never really kept a secret from her before. All I want to do right now is show her the note.

"Just some homework." I tell her hoping it's convincing enough. She shrugs and let's it go. Trying to hide my relief we head to our next class together.

------------------

The note isn't brought up again until lunch.

I'm seated at mine and Alana's normal table eating a slice of pizza. Alana's friend Matt isn't here today for some reason. I'm about to ask where he is when I see Noah.

He's standing with a lunch tray in his hand. His eyes searching the tables of the cafeteria.

He starts walking between the tables and it looks like he's going to sit with his basketball buddies but instead his eyes meet mine and he smirks.

I shrink down in my seat and stare at the table. I silently pray that he doesn't come over here but I'm not so lucky.

"Hey Ken." He says sitting beside me. I wince and look up at him.

"Hi." I say this one word trying not to sound to mean.

After that small exchange we sit silently for a moment while Alana looks between the both of us a couple times.

Noah leans closer to me and I can smell his cologne. "Did you get my note." He whispers to me and I give him a small nod.

With his next words he stands up with his tray. "Good, I'll text you later." He nods goodbye to me and Alana before heading over to his usual seat.

Once he's out of earshot Alana pounces on me like a cat. "Since when are you and Noah friends? Oh my god is he the one the note was from? Are you secretly dating?!" She rushes this all out and waits eagerly for my answer.

It comes with a huge laugh. "Me and Noah? No way! He was just asking if Caleb was ok. Him and Jason got in a fight and are both benched."

"Why didn't he just a rest Caleb himself?"

"They're fighting." I say trying my best to lie.

She looks over at Caleb and Noah who are laughing together. "Doesn't look like it. You're hiding something and I'm going to find out what it is."

Alana grabs her things and leaves me sitting alone. I groan and lay my head down on the table.

Who knew that Noah could cause so much drama in one morning.
