I paused. His voice sent a thrill in my veins and he walked towards me from behind. Hindi ko alam kung normal paba 'tong mga reaction everytime na kinakausap niya ako-- o' di kaya'y nakikita ko siya. He was 6 ft tall, so naturally, his build would hover my petite figure whenever he's near. I can't be like this, it feels so wrong knowing he's one of my neighbors and not only that- twice my age.
With a subtle sigh, I turned around then fixed my heel to the spot. Ang bilis ng tibok ng puso ko, tama siguro mga sinasabi nila na may daddy issues ako o ano. Even so, I tried to form my lips into a smile. Sana hindi niya mapansin behavior ko, It's quite embarrasing and for the sake of awarkwardness-free, let it pass.
"You forgot your book." Sabi niya sabay bigay sakin ng novel na binabasa ko kanina sa garage and I almost fumbled when I just realized what the book was. Shoot! Erotica novel!
My face immediately heated up as I quickly took the book from his hand. I tried to look up only to see the smirk plastered in his lips.
"You've got... a unique taste." Was the word he said before turning away and entered his house.
I stood there for a whole minute trying to process what just happened and when I came back to my senses, I took a deep breath. "What the fuck."
