'mom im ready to go ! come say bye'

'i cant believe how fast you've grown sweetie, have fun and say hi to jake and tara for me !'

'i will, bye mom i love youuuu'

'bye hon ! i love you more'

i've been waiting for this vacation for absolutely forever ! 4 weeks in northern italy with my best friends, it's gonna be the best !!

but, i was messaging tara earlier and she said that there was somebody else coming on the trip ? i wonder who they are.. i hope they're nice too !

as i pulled up at jake's house, they were already waiting outside for me.

'jade !!!' tara squealed, letting go of her suitcase and running up to my car window to give me a hug.

'tara omg !! i missed youuuu' i replied as i got out the car, pulling eachother into a long squeeze.

'uhhh, do i not get a hug ?' jake shouted from behind tara, almost shoving her out of the way
to hug me as well.

'jakeee ! i missed you too babycakes don't get too angry'

'alright jade i am not your babycakes i thought we said this last time' he said as all 3 of us laughed.

there was still one more person stood behind them though ; a decently tall guy with long, black hair and a very different sense of style - i loved it though, icl.

'oh oops i never introduced you two' jake realised, 'jade this is my roommate johnnie, johnnie this is my friend jade'

'nice to meet you johnnie, i love your outfit by the way' i complimented.

'you too, also thank you' he replied, seeming as if he was fighting back a smile.

'no problem'

'alright lovebirds, we really gotta go cause we're gonna miss our flight' jake blurted as tara giggled at his joke.

'oookay jake let's chill out, also come on then !? get in the car everyone we're going to italy !!' i said, tara and jake cheering as johnnie giggled a bit and went to sit in the back seat, leaving tara up front and jake to sit in the back as well.

when we finally got past security, we all waited in the lobby for our flight to be called.

tara and jake sat next to each other, and across the way sat me and johnnie. he was very shy at first but actually really sweet, and to my surprise relatable — it felt like we clicked instantly and i knew we were gonna have a really close friendship, even though we didn't already.

'flight 105, to italy ? boarding now !'

'come on guys we need to go !' i say.

'alright alright we're coming bossy pants' jake replies.

'uhhh excuse me ? i am not bossy'

'i agree with jake' johnnie said, giggling.

'johnnie i thought u were on my side ?! wowww betrayal is real guys' i exclaim, everyone laughing as we practically run to our gate.

we all checked our plane tickets to figure put our seats, and turns out i was sat next to johnnie with tara and jake sat infront of us.

im not complaining obviously because johnnie seems like a really cool guy but i don't really know him, so hopefully we can get closer over these few hours !
