Hello! My name is Carolina. I'm 18 years old and when I look back I see that time went by very fast and I didn't even have time to enjoy my childhood. I'm going to start college, and I hope it goes well and in addition, I also hope to make some friends.
But I'm going to share a little secret and a little of my story... I've always hated my name and preferred it when they called me Carol. Those who called me that were friends, family, people closest to me, that is, people with whom I was intimate. And in my opinion, it sounded more affectionate. In relation to childhood and early adolescence, it was a complicated phase, in the sense of starting badly, but let's leave this subject for later.
In addition, I feel that I do not belong to this world, that I am displaced in time, and that I am different from other people. I'm not going into unnecessary details, but I want to share something that is crucial to the story I'm going to tell.
First, I would very much like to understand why I feel this way and it is that I felt this way almost all my life, which was not normal, right?
"I suppose I'm about to find out, because I'm sure this is not normal." - I whispered to myself. It was a thought that tormented me, and with all this confusion, I was determined to make a small mistake, but that in the end I would realize that it was not such a small mistake. Secondly, I was struggling with depression and anxiety.
It was a constant fight, and I couldn't take it for much longer. I was fed up. However, sometimes I remembered something that someone once told me: "Remember that you are not alone, there are people willing to listen and help. Your life has value."
But that's not what would stop me, at this moment, nothing could stop me. With that in mind, I chose the ideal place where I would make my mistake happen. I have always dreamed of traveling to the United Kingdom, so, with determination, God wanted me to make this trip. The course of my life is about to change.
