Running, don't stop, don't stop. He swung around a corner and peeked over his shoulder.
"Dezzy!" He whispered, horrified as one of the guards grabbed his friend by the shoulders. He couldn't leave without him. He fumbled to keep his hands from shaking, a light blue mist formed around his hands, and he stared at them in awe before pushing his hands towards the guard. The guard fell backward, letting Dezzy go in the process. He ran over to Dezzy and dragged him along, the halls were dark, one dim light maybe every fifteen feet"There!" Dezzy whispered, he pointed at a door. They ran towards the door and pushed it open.

Cameron shot up, heart racing, head spinning. The sunlight filled his room from the window, groaning quietly, he pushed the blankets off himself and got up.
Cameron ran a hand through his black hair, another day, four more classes. Cameron checked the time, 7:38.
Shit!!
He thought. Cameron sped through his morning routine and grabbed an apple as he raced out the door.
He made it to the bus stop, and as the bus was about to pull away, he thankfully managed to get on.
"Hey! Diaz!" Someone called, Cameron looked up and saw one of his best friends, Dezzy Adams, standing by the back door. He went over and stood next to him.
"Hey, Dezzy." Cameron smiled.
"What'd you do? Turn off your alarm?" Dezzy raised an eyebrow.
"Probably, I was on patrol with Wade and Matt last night, and didn't get home till late." Cameron's voice dropped to a whisper, it wasn't always smart to talk about their vigilante jobs in a crowded city bus.
"One day you're going to miss the bus and have to walk halfway across the city to school," Dezzy laughed, Cameron rolled his eyes and elbowed him.
"You've missed the bus before, not me." Cameron pointed out.
"Whatever," Dezzy sighed, "So, what's the bet Nora is back today?"
"Mm," Cameron thought about it for a minute, Nora Dane, another one of their friends, had been away on vacation for two weeks and was making them guess when she got back. "Sixty/forty. Sixty percent she won't be, forty percent she will be."
"Alright," Dezzy nodded, "Have you heard from... Fury?" Cameron glanced around before shaking his head.
"No, he said he would let me know if they were incapable of doing something," Cameron muttered. "Truthfully, I'm not exactly... expecting the call."
"Oh come on, I'm sure he'll call you."
Dezzy said, "How bad will it be if he does?""Come on, working with the Avengers? Seriously? They're all bark no bite." Cameron frowned, "Name one incident in the last... two years."
"The battle of New York," Dezzy said.
"Exactly," Cameron said.
The bus pulled to a stop in front of the school, Cameron followed Dezzy off and they waited near the front doors for Caleb. Cameron sat on a ledge, he checked his phone for any missed calls. Nothing.
"Cameron, he'll call you when he needs you," Dezzy said.
"If he ever does," Cameron sighed, he put his phone in his pocket and glanced up. "There's Caleb."
Sure enough, Caleb Murdock closed the door on a white SUV and made his way over. Dezzy grinned and raised a hand so Caleb could see them.
"Caleb! Over here!" Dezzy called. Caleb saw them and grinned, he went over to them.
"Hey guys!" Caleb smiled, "No sign of Nora yet?" Both Dezzy and Cameron shook their heads.
The three caught up, talking about their weekend, about stupid things; classes, work, etc.
"Oh," Cameron smiled, spotting a certain red-headed girl walking down the street towards the school. "I think I see a certain redhead." He elbowed Dezzy playfully who looked up quickly.
Dezzy's face broke it a wide grin, he jumped off the wall and ran over to Nora, wrapping her in a hug.
Caleb chuckled and moved next to Cameron, "So, heard anything?"
Cameron shook his head, "Not yet, no." He said. Nora and Dezzy came back over.
"Hey Nors, how was your trip?" Caleb asked.
"Amazing!" Nora beamed. Cameron raised an eyebrow at the bag in her hand.
"What's in the bag?" He asked, if it was possible, Nora's smile got wider.
"I got presents for everyone!" She smiled, took something out of the bag, and handed it to Cameron, she also handed Dezzy and Caleb something.
Caleb undid the wrapping around his, it was a picture frame with him and his uncle Matt in it.
"So, I've got some explaining to do with that one," Nora grinned sheepishly, "Last time we were at Matt's I saw that on the fridge, I took it and thought it would be great with a frame!"
Caleb smiled, "It's awesome, thanks Nors."
Dezzy did his next, it was also a picture frame with himself, Nora, Caleb, Cameron, and Peter.
"Thanks, Nora, I love it." Dezzy smiled, putting his arm around her. Nora looked at Cameron next.
"Yours is different because you take don't pictures!" Nora laughed.
"Not true," Cameron defended himself, he flipped him over, it was a sketchbook.
"I saw yours was getting kinda worn, the cover was ripping and stuff, so I thought you might like that." Nora smiled, and Cameron grinned.
"Thanks, Nora, I've been meaning to get a new one." He said, he opened it, the cover was nice, a forest scenery. The pages were thick and good for painting or watercolors.

"It's not fair that you have a spare right before lunch!" Peter complained, they were all sitting outside on the bleachers.
"Hey, you were the one who said no to choosing a spare." Cameron reminded him. The sketchbook Nora had gotten him rested on his knees, MJ and Ned finally arrived.
"Hey guys!" Nora smiled. MJ's eyes widened.
"YOU'RE BACK!!" She cried, running and tackling Nora in a hug. "Why didn't you say you were coming back?!"
The two girls caught up while the rest of them made stupid, offhand comments and jokes.
Cameron was sketching something in the book Nora got him when his phone rang. Standing up immediately, Dezzy gave him a concerned look.
"I'll be right back," Cameron said dismissively, not bothering to wait for a response before he jumped off the bleachers and walked down the field, putting his phone to his ear.
"Cameron."
"Nick Fury."
