The roars of the wild, the colors of the sky, all the good and evil that was bestowed upon this world. A stranger goes to the top of a rock watching over it all, kneeling and keeping an eye out for any danger that might come. Looking over the highlands observing the galloping horses and the musical bird beasts with a wistful expression.
Holding the hilt of his longsword and covered in this green cloak he sighs; "What has become of this world since I have left it".
He stands up and walks down the long-slanted rock toward the dense redwood forest. Stepping on leaves that are crushed beneath the stranger's feet, he looks up as he pushes the branches away from his face. He looks upon a stoney mountain and squints in to see a tiny square panel sticking out. Jogging up to it, he suddenly hears a crack in the woods.
Drawing his sword out of the rough brown leather scabbard he holds it a couple of inches from his chest. His fingers wrapped around the handle squeezing it tight, getting in a composed stance. A stone creature walks out of the bushes and the cloaked stranger rushes it slashing horizontally at its head.
The creature ducks dodging the sword; "Hey man it's me knock it off!". The cloaked stranger looks up and meets the stone creature's gaze as he sheathes his sword, it makes a smooth sound as it goes back into the scabbard.
The creature looks at him and spits out a rock; "If you wanted my head that badly, I could've made a rock sculpture of it". The cloaked stranger brushes past him towards the stone panel, "Don't sneak up on me like that Rowyn it's unwise. I could've killed you if I wanted." Rowyn laughs and walks beside him; "Yeah okay, do you remember the words for the door?
The stranger stares at him unamused, "Rowyn I've been around as long as the Unsaki have so yes, I know their language to open the door." Rowyn scoffs and walks away to sit on a rock, "Just making sure you know my race's language, Leon, you've been around us long enough."
Leon puts his hand on the stone panel and pushes down, "Lateri" he whispers as the stone cracks and a door swings open. Rowyn puts his hand on his shoulder, "Still interesting in how you chose the Unisaki word for love. I respect the choice because that's what we Unsaki value most along with family, yet you're a human."
Leon walks inside the dark hallway, "I know but I'm one with the world now, I don't belong anywhere" he expresses sadly. Rowyn walks in behind him with a frown, "Don't be so hard on yourself my old friend, this world will need you yet. They just do not know it."
As Leon sits down, he grabs a chunk of hard bread and crunches on it breaking it in half. Rowyn sits down across from him grabs a beer full of tiny rocks and drinks it.
Even though some of the creatures of Tridaire are made of inanimate materials, they still have to work bodily functions as humans do. Different races require different things on Tridaire to survive. Rowyn and the Unisaki love to drink stone beer as water, due to their body of stone they can hold their liquor a lot better than anything else in this world.
They have hours of just, just silence. Leon finally speaks up while he holds his sword close, "Rowyn, do you think if I went back, I would be accepted again?" Rowyn looks at him with solace, "I do not know Leon, I do not know what would happen if you went back to-"
Suddenly they hear a crash. They both rush up and run towards the entrance at full speed. They run into each other forgetting that it is a single-person entryway. Rowyn pushes Leon aside and rushes out, "Last one out is a molten rock!" Leon sighs and rushes out behind him.
They both reach the thick redwoods and Rowyn motions for Leon to stop. He sniffs, "Leon I smell something, fire to the redwoods and a seatra girl in the river. What is she doing this far out?" "I don't know but we must go" announces Leon as he rushes into the forest. Rowyn follows in stomping as he goes.
They both arrive at the edge of the river spotting a floating seatra. Rowyn has a shocked expression, "By my days it is a seatra. What happened to her fins and legs? Why are they ripped?"
Leon slowly goes up to the river, puts his sword away, and lifts her out of the water, "I do not know Rowyn but she must've used her legs to get this far in the first place, considering this does not connect to the Eastern Shore of the Palria Sea."
The Seatra girl's eyes open. "Do you remember your name?" says a cautious Leon. The girl's mouth opens, "My name is Parodona".
