The Girl was driving back to the facility when she got a call from the Lab.

I should be back by now, guilt and worried mixed felt like a rock stuck in her throat. They don't need all that stuff.

As for the call...

She was being denied access to the facility, even her own quarter's. Her things were being packed and being sent to Seizei's office in the next day.

The Girl was being placed at a hotel - and someone there would help her with the necessities until her. She would be boarded in a transport to the space bridge in 2 days.

She would get accommodations at the bridge. As per her contract, she had a month of accommodations at her choice, and there was a list os colonies she could pick from.

They want to kick me out of the planet?

The Girl had to stop the car. Mind scrambling, trying to make sense of what was being relayed to her.

"Miss! Miss! Can you hear me? Miss" the person on the otherwise was borderline screaming now.

"I'm here, I was looking for a spot to stop the car. Connect me with the legal department."

"Miss, we will provide...", came the voice, that sounded empathetic.

The ex (fake? Xenophysician didn't feel bad though. Fire someone by phone was the definition of unprofessional.

"Legal department. Now!"

If Kay could not feel surprise before, he surely had an idea of how it should feel.

When all logic points to one type of result, but you get the exact opposite for no valid reason. I wonder what the xenophysician would think of my hypothesis.

Kay had been sure his act of kindness was going to bear good results. He had sent an extensive report to Dahle's yesterday, once he became aware her trip had been cut short by 10 days.

He knew she would be dissatisfied with some staff members, but nothing prepared him for her vicious reaction towards the Girl's success.

"Doctor, there is no one able to apply the anesthesia today" Philips was trying fo not provoke Dahle's ire.

"Where are the Nurses?" She was seething.

"Reassigned. They will be back next week. We would brief then before your return".

"How could you ever allow it?"

" Doctor, I so t make the decision regarding personnel", Phillips notes, in his most neutral tone.

"I'm talking about that bitch! Did you even saw our specimen"

"All reports point to improving health, I don't underst..."

Dahle threw her tablet at him face. It got him right under the eye.

(That would bruise)

Of course he didn't understand. He didn't knew that the littybitch was trying to steel her research. Her specimen.

That monster would never even look in her direction. And she had tried. At the beginning she tried talking, she tried negotiating, she tried bribing.

He wouldn't even acknowledge her presence.

Until the day she could not help herself. The team had put him under anesthesia.

After the procedure, she kicked everyone out, turned off the mainframe data gathering. She explores his body with authentic scientific curiosity at first. And then... and then...
