[Third Person]The group of 9 rushed through the woods. Asher was at the head of the group, his nose and ears were almost as sharp as True. But True was occupied at the moment, he had to carry an unconscious and very heavy Lupine.
The others formed a circle around the pair, occasionally looking at them with a curious and questioning gaze. But as always, Tristin was showing his hatred for their closeness and how True carried Lupine so protectively.
Everyone could feel the intense hatred from Tristin's gaze, but no one but True knew why he was glaring so intensely.
"Hurry." Asher said slightly above a whisper, but everyone heard him. They were supernatural creatures after all. "We don't know if they're anymore hunters, we have to hurry back to camp and tell the instructors about what happened." Asher spoke with such confidence, but on the inside he was fighting one hell of a battle. He was trying his hardest to not turn around and rushed towards Lupine and True.
He was trying his hardest, to not show his love and concern. He had rejected them in order to have an easy life, were things didn't get complex. So he didn't deserve their love, and he definitely shouldn't show any type of emotion other than friendship towards them.
It would just make things more complex.
Everyone was worried. The forest was cold and quiet. Which would be normal, since it was winter time. But considering the eerie feeling that was creeping up on them, everyone was on edge. And they had their senses sharp, well everyone except Lupine.
But they were ready. They were ready for another fight, a fight to the death. And in True's mind, he had to protect everyone. Especially his mates.
Since the hunters were back, no one was prepared. In all the books, legends and stories the hunters were wiped out. They have no way of telling what they're capable of now that they have returned. At most they could use old battle tactics to fight against them. But with their current knowledge of the enemy, this battle could be fatal. And possibly not end in their favor.
"We're almost there." Asher whispered, his eyes scanned the forest carefully. They moved skillfully, trying their hardest not to leave any indication that they had been there.
They didn't need the hunters following them. And from how long it was taking them to get back, it seems they had been brought pretty deep into the woods.
"Look at what we have here?" Voice dark and deep as the figure laughed. Asher and the rest of the group quickly became alert. They stopped in their tracks, everyone's eyes scanned the scene. They looked over every shadow that could possibly hold the figure. Their eyes scanned carefully, until they finally landed on the person who had spoken.
But he wasn't alone. There were at least 7 other men with him, they all had half a masks on their face. But from their weapons you could tell they were blood hunters.
"It seems you 9 took out squad 5. Guess that means squad 3 is gonna have to clean up their messes, like always." The man let out a heavy sigh, before fully stepping out the shadows. His men following his lead.
The man had his hand placed over his face, while letting out another sigh. Then his had feel from his face, his scowl turned into a small smile, before an evil grin began to play across his face.
"Do you really think you can take out all of us?" Asher spoke. "We just took out a group of hunters a few minutes ago, who happen to have more men than you do. So what makes you think the situation is going to be different this time, with even lesser people?"
The man started to chuckle. His deep voice echoed through the forest.
The evil laughed. It was starting to become old. Every hunter boss they've had fought so far, has laughed like this. And in all honest, it was lame. This isn't some fantasy, villains or supernatural book or drama.
