‘CLASH!’ ‘SHANG!’ ‘BANG!’ Sounds echoed through the halls of the steel toe compound. as Raktos sparred with his teacher, V-lint the bladed wind. Raktos was hot and sweating, his eyes zooming across the walls for his teacher when suddenly ‘SHING!’ the sound of valints blades cutting through Raktos’s skin. as the blood flowed from his back Raktos cast a spell to seal the wound and then cast one too fling lighting at his mentor. With a flash of light his mentor was on the ground panting electricity flowing through his blood, Then Valint slowly stood up and said, “Good job Raktos, we'll make a spell sword of you yet.” “But I don't want to be a spell-sword! I want to focus purely on magic!” said Raktos as he healed his teacher's wounds, “There has never been a living being who could master purely magic and you know it!” “I know, I know. But maybe, I could be the first!” said Raktos, with a sound of hope in his voice. “Well…” said Valit, “if you want to be the first, you need to learn how to cast faster! You shouldn't have to wait till your opponent attacks you.” “How? I'm casting as fast as physically possible!” “Then don't physically.” “Cast mentally!” Valit Exclaimed “Anyone can run fast, but to run like lightning you must first think like lightning.” “Alright master,” said Rakos as he left the sparring hall and to his quarters, wondering how one can think like lightning, when you aren't lighting.
