I walked back to school, with Claire. " I gotta go to Home Ec," I said, Claire frowned. I feel like we are so close already. "All right, well bye". We hugged and walked our separate ways. It wasn't too far a walk but, 2 croissants, and 3 medium drinks later.... I was gonna burst. I stopped by my locker to get a hoodie. I was extra bloated, and it showed. I pulled out my white Essentials hoodie over my shirt and started walking to class.

" Hey," it was a guy. I turned; it was Brady. " Oh hey-", but Mari grabbed me out of nowhere. " Girl let me tell you the tea" she dragged me into class. We sat down in the back of the class next to Connor's friends I recognized from Madi's party. " Why, was Brady talking to you?" she asked, I shrugged. Mari was telling me tea about people I didn't know, but I wasn't focused. I was focused on the door, Brady walked through, with his twin Connor. I looked away. Again. And turned back to Mari " Crazy right?!" she whispered yelled. " Yeah, I can't believe that!" I said I had no idea what she was saying. Class started and I turned to the teacher. Mr. Jamestown had slides about him and his family and what we would be doing in the class. But I couldn't focus because I was sitting next to Brady. He was laughing and joking with his friends. Now I was really happy I put on my hoodie because my rolls would be showing. " Hey, I like your hoodie" Brady turned to me, red and smiling. " Thanks," I said turning back around.

"Thanks", "THANKS". Seriously. I turned back to Mari who was texting some guy, she wouldn't say who. " I can't wait for lunch," Mari said while setting down her phone. " I can," I said as I patted my stomach. " Girl why are you wearing shorts?" I looked down. "That's why I've been so cold today!" I thought out loud. Mari smiled. I laughed and I pulled out my phone. " So, what are doing after school today?" Brady asked, I was shocked he was even talking to me still. " The girls' soccer team tryouts are this afternoon, I'm trying out," I said without looking up once.

BELL RINGS

" Good luck on your tryouts," Brady said while walking out with his friends. I smiled.

BRADY'S POV:

" You're so down bad," Connor said while ruffling my hair. I pushed him off and into my friend Chris. " Bros cheesing right now", they started laughing.

It's true I've liked Lilia- um Emilia for a while now. Madi introduced her as a joke 3 months ago, but now I can't get her out of my head. And her being friends with Xochitl doesn't make it any better. Connor, Chris, and I all had the same lunch. We were the closeout of the group. " You guys think I have a chance?" I asked. They both nodded yes, but deep down I knew, I didn't.

" It's fine you guys don't have to lie to me," I said as we walked to the lunch line, Chris and I loved school lunch. Connor hated it and packed his own, but he still stood in line with us to talk while we got our lunch. " Hi, Brady" Samatha waved, and Chris and Connor laughed and got in the line. We talked on Snapchat ONCE about golf balls in freshmen year, and now she won't leave me alone. Always trying to talk to me, hang out, she's not what you think. She's a bop, she sleeps around, and I'm not trying to be associated with that. " Hey...." I walked away towards Chris and Connor who were way up in line. She walked back up, I heard her and smelled her too. " You busy this weekend?" she tapped my shoulder; I jumped back before I reached my friends. 

" Uh, um" I looked around and saw Emilia. She looked at me and smiled and must have seen my face of terror, " Lilia!" I yelled, and she walked over. " Hey" she had her hand out for me to hold, I held it. " Yeah, I am actually, going on a date! With my ....." 

   I didn't want to say girlfriend because I didn't want to freak her out. " Girlfriend, lol," Emilia said, I turned red, and out of the corner of my eye she was blushing. I looked at Samatha. She looked sad but after years of harassment, I was done. Lilia's friends called her, " Well bye bae!" and she kissed me on the cheek. 

I walked off, geeked. Chris and Connor saw the whole thing, their mouths wide open. " Bro!" Chris grabbed me in a handshake, " So you two like?" Connor made his fingers kiss. I hit his fingers down," I'll tell you two later, where there aren't so many ears" I winked and smiled down at myself.
